3 out of the 4 Iowa AA's are transfers

Most of michigans points are coming from all their transfers this year, except raguison
That's nice for them but the fact is nobody is going to have any chance at all of being a legit threat to PSU by hoping to land transfers as the main talent acquisition. It's going to take top end recruiting up front combined with some strategic transfers to fill unforseen holes.

Eirman came on his own; came out of left field when he told brands he was coming. Desanto wouldn’t have shown up if it weren’t for Lee. The 3 transfers that AA for us this year likely wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the fans supplying the money. Coaches had nothing to do with landing these guys.

What a ridiculous take. Delete your account.

And we won’t be getting Jax or Bassett coming up either. We need the pipeline back to YoungGuns to start flowing. We are behind PSU in recruiting for at least the next 5-6 seasons if something doesn’t change. We will have the best facility for a consistent 3rd to 5th place team.

The point about Eierman is valid. We would not have won our title without that unexpected gift.

Tiltman may indeed be an idiot, but not because of that observation.

(And Spooner may be less grumpy in real life than he appears.)

As to the topic of this thread, it is both an indictment of our mediocre recruiting and acknowledgement of how important transfers have become--and acknowledgement that we are doing relatively well on that front.

Our recruiting, especially high school recruiting, has not been strong for some time. But the biggest issue, to me, is that the top recruits that we do manage to get seldom seem to develop to the level that was expected.
