Yeah, schools with shitty FB programs bring that up. Woo hoo!!! Womens volleyball!!!!Nebraska ended up number 22 in the directors cup this year.

nobody cares about women's vollyballNebraska ended up number 22 in the directors cup this year.
Nebby had some football history going for it but the University as a whole was never B1G material.I know we are talking sports, but academics still matter. And Nebraska is an embarrassment to the conference in that regard.
They should have been booted when they lost AAU status.
Unequivocally, with absolutely ZERO hesitation, my three are PennState, Rutgers, and MD.I thought I saw that on a sign when crossing the state line.
Where was Iowa? The Hawkeyes should be booted for having a crap athletic department.Nebber really sucks at all sports.
And life.
Nebraska ended up number 22 in the directors cup this year.
Second, Northwestern. They suck at all sports, the football field is like a high school stadium and one school from Illinois is plenty. I’ll keep Illinois over northwestern because they at least have a basketball team and bring some fiery fans.

Or when discussing the overall strength of a schools athletic department...Yeah, schools with shitty FB programs bring that up. Woo hoo!!! Womens volleyball!!!!
I'd agree to an extent. While I wouldn't call UNL a "bad" school academically by any means, they don't stand among their peers in the conference in that regard.I know we are talking sports, but academics still matter. And Nebraska is an embarrassment to the conference in that regard.
They should have been booted when they lost AAU status.
I mean. They do have a vote. The Big 12 would take anyone at this point.Rutgers and Maryland. For sure.
As for Nebraska, if they had a vote, they go back to the Big 12 in a heartbeat. Their vision of dominance in the Big 10 was actually a delusion. But it is nice to have a win on Iowa’s schedule every year. So, they might as well hang around. 😊
That's a shame.I mean. They do have a vote. The Big 12 would take anyone at this point.
No one is voluntarily leaving the B1G or SEC.
why would any BIG school vote to kick Iowa out? They are a top 20 revenue making program in the country. A winning football tradition, put women's basketball back on the map, hopefully Fran can pull something out soon.I think the real question isn't who would we kick out, it is how many schools would vote to kick us out...
Of course none of this happening. But - II think the real question isn't who would we kick out, it is how many schools would vote to kick us out...
Still a puzzler. Their dominance in football was also in the rear view mirror. Why?I’m not advocating for any school to be kicked out, but it sure seems hypocritical that there is a non-AAU member at this time. It was well know when they were invited to join that they were on thin ice with their AAU membership and would most likely lose it. If they can’t restructure enough over the next three years to regain their AAU membership, then I think they should be punished with a lesser share of the next tv/media contract.
You are wrong.nobody cares about women's vollyball
They still have a rapid fanbase and at the time a 'national' brand that was respected.Still a puzzler. Their dominance in football was also in the rear view mirror. Why?
Northwestern, Rutgers, and Purdue
Ped State Nebraska Rutgers and Maryland. If only 3 than it's an easy Ped State Rutgers MarylandSaw this question posed on another Hawkeye website, so I figured I'd bring it here.
I would say aside from the incoming Pac 12 teams who really do not belong in the B10 already, but are here because of the bastardization of the sport...........who ELSE would you kick out of the B10 if you, the Iowa fan, had the power to do so????
IMHO, I would tell Ohio State, Michigan and Purdue to get the f*** out. Or more appropriately:

The rest can stay, because those remaining teams losing to us is just too much fun annually to pass up on.![]()
