57 Muslim countries' foreign ministers met in Saudi Arabia today and voted upon taking Palestinian refugees to resolve the issue.

It is genuinely astounding that Muslim nations do not want to help. The best way to support refugees is to help provide a place where there is shared culture and customs to help assimilate gradually.

Obviously, the Sunni/Shia divide plays a major factor here. Which is sad that a 1400 year debate over hierarchy takes precedence over helping people. You would think the Muslim world realizes this gives all 2 billion of them a black eye. The Saudi position is evolving and you would think they could easy set up sanctuary for them. They are not there yet but maybe in the future. It could be a huge PR win for the Saudis and build support and be the Muslim flagship to the rest of the world.

They don’t want Palestinians because the population is pretty radicalized.

They don’t want the instability they’ll bring.

It’s that simple

Why don’t the muslims want to take in their fellow muslims? Care to venture a guess?

I am sure there are many reasons for all the varying countries that do not want to take in refugees.
I would guess that the decision is primarily rooted in one or a combination of these 4 reasons
1. religious differences
2. fear of Hamas being included
3. Not wanting to be on the opposite side of Israel
4. finances

Now that I offered my guess, is that a recycled tweet, or was there a meeting of the OIC other than the one in November 2023?

Some more possibilities:

5. Some of them are already loaded with refugees from other targets of western aggression like Syria, Iraq and Libya.
6. Many of them lack the resources to support refugees.
7. When Europe was looking for a new home for Jews, they carved out space in Arab territory - turnabout is fair play.
8. Taking Gazan refugees just makes it easier for Israel to achieve its ethnic cleansing campaign and "level the place" as Lindsey Graham suggested.
9. The US hasn't offered enough money or other bribes yet.

If Biden moves forward with this it will seal a victory for Trump.
The 91 felonies and counting, stealer of classified documents, rapist, conman, ripping off charities, pervert going into Miss USA locker room, Putin puppet, leader of the Insurrection against our government terrorist? That piece of shit? Surely you aren't dumb enough to vote for a literal rapist terrorist, right,

As the Nazi atrocities against Jews were rising (before WWI broke out and before Israel was created) there was a plan to relocate Jews to Alaska. Partly as a response to those atrocities but also (mainly?) to aid in the development of Alaska.

The Slattery Report ... dealt with Alaskan development through immigration, included a proposal to move European refugees, especially Jews from Nazi Germany and Austria, to four locations in Alaska, including Baranof Island and the Matanuska-Susitna Valley.

Blah, blah, blah...

Is this a recycled tweet or did OIC have another meeting and it is not being reported?
They meet in November 2023 but there is no mention of a vote about refugees during that meeting.
Hey he just repeats what he sees on Twitter, don’t ask him any questions.

I think if it was populated entirely with Pam Andersons no Muslim country would want to be seen abetting Israel in expunging Muslims from sacred sites.

Sacred sites is super silly, but here we are.

Trump is going to win in November then Karma will be swift for those who sought to destroy America!!

In addition to all the reasons already listed, there's this one:

Why should it be their problem?

Did they start it?
Are they the ones doing the fighting?
Are they paying for Israel to prosecute the war?
Iran, Syria, certain elements in Lebanon and wealthy patrons in multiple other countries have absolutely funded and provided weapons to Hamas. Did they pull the trigger on October 7? No. Did they contribute to the climate which beget October 7? Absolutely.

I am all for taking properly vetted immigrants who are committed to peacefully and productively becoming strong contributors to our great nation. But the reality is that many of these countries should be the first option for the Palestinian refugees. Hell some of these countries (e.g. SA, UAE, Qatar) are among the richest on Earth per capita. They absolutely CAN afford to tackle the problem. They just don’t want to.

5. With regard to Syria, does Russia count as the west?
6. Many of them don’t lack resources.
7. Whether israel was carved out of Arab territory or whether Arabs previously carved out Jewish territory, is a matter of perspective.
8. I don’t know about ethic cleaning, but it does reduce collateral damage.
9. If this is about Arabs helping Arabs, and the west is their perceived problem or enemy, then I don’t see why we should payoff Arab state.

Maybe they believe most Palestinian "refugees" are in fact Hamas sympathizers/activists, and they don't want the association?

I seem to recall I was supposed to point out when you start sounding right wing or MAGAish.

Syria wasn’t western aggression.
