I don't see Iowa winning at Maryland nor at Wisconsin, so I guess for me the question is does Iowa win all three home games? Probably not, so I think 8-10.

No option for 10-8, 7-11, 6-12? Pretty short sighted OP.

Everyone is down on us at the moment given our two game losing streak, which usually means we'll come out surprise. I expect we'll blow out Illinois who won't shoot as accurately on the road, blow out the depleted and reeling Hoosiers, take down Maryland in College Park before stumbling at the Kohl Center and closing out with a home win to send Jok off in style on Senior night.

The optimists will start spouting about how we could make the NCAAs by making the BTT finals, while the pessimists focus on winning a game to ensure a home game for the NIT, and we go 1-1 and make it to the NIT semis.

Peter Jok takes a few weeks off to get completely healthy, and is drafted late in the 2nd round.

You're welcome, I've saved you all a bunch of time.

Iowa has to go 5-0 to even be put on the "bubble" and even then they would have probably win 2-3 in Washington DC.

I think this team finishes 10-8. I think they finish down the stretch at 4-1. I seriously think Fran gets them motivated and they knock off either Maryland or Wisky. They will not beat both. This group is feisty and they have not played their best basketball yet. They are close to putting it all together and once they do, they will be tough to stop.

I think we are NIT bound, which would be fine with me. There will be some solid teams in the NIT this year and I think Iowa could advance if they host some games.

With our youth and injuries, one win over .500 would be a big success. If people could go back one year or two and watch Bohannon go 3-18 against some high school team in the substates, Pemsl limp up the court like a truck with four flats, and Kriener get blasted by 30 by Western Christian, a school of 200 kids, the progress these players (and others on the team) have made in a year-- because Fran recognized talent and believed in them-- is absolutely amazing. I am bullish on the Hawkeyes.

Iowa should finish 10-8. They will win the remaining 3
home games and beat Wisconsin or Maryland on the
road. They will get a big jump in the RPI by winning
four out of their last 5 games.

Bottom Line: It is time for the Hawkeyes to play their
best basketball of the season.

Iowa has not shown it can play well on the road against the upper echelon of the B1G; therefore, I expect them to go 3-2 in their last five games which equates out to a 9-9 record for the conference season. This is definitely a respectable mark considering the youth movement Fran has had to deal with. I will be more excited about next year if the young guys can show some growth by playing Maryland and Wisconsin tough on the road.

Five-game winning streak heading to BIG tourney: 11-7* /19-12*

Win at least one in the conference tourney and see what happens.

* Actually 12-6 / 20-11 due to mess in Minneapolis

Win at home and lose on the road for 9-9. That would look even better if the B1G wasn't at the lowest level overall in at least 10 years. A P5 conference that may be without a top 4 seed in NCAA is bad. Hope for a NIT bid and win a couple games for an extra two weeks of practice can be a good step for next year.

The BIG may be down, but I don't see many juggernauts anywhere. Unless, maybe, Arizona, which recently lost to Oregon by 30 or so. Or KU, which lost at home to ISU. Or Duke. Or . . .
