A few of my favorite Iowa vs Wisconsin games

I think my favorite might have been 2003. The whole team had the flu and still beat Wisky in Madison on senior day. Lots of memories from that game - Kaeding not backing down to Wsconsin’s defense before halftime, Ramon Ochoa scoring on a reverse, and the game coming down to the last play, 4th and goal, and our defense standing tall.

Of course 2005 where we beat Barry in his last game at Camp Randall wasn’t bad either.

I’d kill to see footage of the 1991 game against them.

03 was fantastic. I believe Scothawk made a vid of that game. If I recall correctly, they tried to ice Kaeding before the half, then he drilled a fifty yarder in the mist and fog. Just looked over at the Sconny bench like "Take that".

Great game! Lost in the mania of that final few plays was on the last play I believe Wisky was far from "set" and shifting/motion all over the place, would've been a revolt had they won. QB threw a 3rd down pass into middle of field I believe with 0 timeouts left.

No mention of 2004?

Playing for a share of B10 Championship at home. And denying Wisky a B10 Championship and trip to Rose Bowl.

Go back and watch that game. Wisconsin was all hyped up and talking loads of smack early on. Especially there D-line and a RB.

All that piss and vinegar evaporated as the game wore on.

Shafthawk, correct! Iowa put a severe smack down on those fat bastards from Pussconsin.. I do remember seeing the players faces after the game and it was an instant classic of being pummeled.. for all I care and Wisconsin is the most hated team in the big ten for me at least... they can go pound dirt for all I care

The thing I remember most about the ‘03 game was Bob Sanders knocking two Wiscy QB’s out of the game.

There was an earlier Wisconsin game, maybe 2000. Iowa lost 13-7 - Iowa was in it right to the end but couldn't really do anything on offense. I was fishing on the Mississippi near Prairie du Chien that day, clobbering white bass and walleye, listening to the Badgers broadcast on a pocket radio.

Matt Lapey was marveling at Sanders, stating that he'd never seen a safety completely dominate an offense like Sanders did that day. "That's the best player I've seen this year, folks."

Matt Lepey is a man I can’t stomach listening to him out of the Madison, WI AM station.. makes me sick to my stomach
