I have a feeling this print will soon be for sale.
Set as my PC desktop background. Getting choked up over here. Saw that and listened to Leistikow's interview with Kirk. A couple dude's I wish I was more like.
The Wave is powerful enough as it is.
And then to see Hayden waving?
So much symbolism....

No. I get the idea...everybody loves Hayden and the Children's Hospital (as do I), but sentiment aside, it's pretty cheesy. Elvis on black velvet-level cheesy. Imagine the crap we'd give Nebraska fans if they did something similar with Osborne.

I agree with you. I get the meaning behind it, I just don't think the execution was very good. It's bad HDR, weird coloring, drunk dude in the front, and you're taking away the meaning of waving to sick kids. Feels tacky.
I will agree that the art is not outstanding. But the image and meaning is. I love it!
And I would guess that Hayden would privately be appalled and being elevated to deity-like status.
Outstanding!!! I still remember an I Club event in Omaha circa 1980. I had the great fortune to meet Hayden Fry and Nile Kinnick Sr. at the same event. I will always remember shaking their hands and a few seconds of pleasantries! Two great Hawkeyes!

if you could change anything (if at all), what would it be?
I am no artist but I might tinker around with putting the water tower in there with the Tiger Hawk, as @Old_wrestling_fan suggested above; it would symbolize all that came after and as a result of Hayden Fry
Just keep Hawkeye Heaven away from it. Could some proceeds go to someplace special?
