A year ago, freshman WR Reece Vander Zee was playing quarterback. He didn't join team workouts till fall due to injury. He didn't know he'd be starting till this week.

Today, he caught five passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns.

Last season in 14 games the Hawkeye offense scored 20 touchdowns.
Today, in one game against Illinois St. our offense scored 5 touchdowns.
That is progress and Vander Zee was a big part of it. Congrats to the
