Distance will play a part in parking. How mobile is your dad? If he ca walk then any place is good. Taking the train means up stairs when arriving. If you take the train you can walk up and down melrose and find plenty to eat. Know two words - BIGASS turkey legs

He's very mobile, we will be able to walk from wherever. The train from Coralville sounds like a nifty experience but if we can get closer to the stadium and set up our mini tailgate in a parking lot near the stadium that would be ideal! I assume most of the parking will run around $20. I'd definitely like to run into those turkey legs. Sounds like we may try to park near Melrose. We're hoping to be there close to 3 hours before game time and it sounds like there should be plenty down there to occupy us!

Walk along Melrose just east of the bridge. Lots to eat there. If you want parking, look along Melrose in U-Heights or one of the side streets off Melrose and you can get yard parking. Just follow the crowd from there to the stadium. Enjoy your visit to Iowa City.
