Abe

Didn’t watch but sounds great. Potential is there just needs to put it together
He looked really good, high level attacks and aggressive. Something has clicked , I knew he had a very good skill set, but this was beyond what I have seen. If he stays healthy and keeps his confidence up he could be a threat to anyone at 184, he has a lot of tools in the box. I have heard he was considered to be exceptionally strong and he showed that last night also.

It's weird, he looks way bigger and more physical than he did earlier this year when wrestling in the Luther Open, but maybe I just wasn't watching closely enough. It's too bad Sammy Brooks isn't still in the room, seems like a perfect guy to learn from.

I suspect that Sammy has been doing a lot of teaching to the bigger guys. He was Big Cass's corner man in the U23s. Maybe the van has been in the Carver parking lot.

I thought same thing. He has put time in the weight room, biceps are much bigger than 2 years ago. I cant believe I didnt notice that at Luther, its pretty obvious.

Hidlay is the real deal, Abe has to stay away from that right side under hook and use those low level attacks. Strength wise I see it fairly equal and I don’t see him being able to horse Hidlay around. I don’t care if he takes a loss, just keeping letting things fly.

the point i take from this new and Improved Abe is this.... The Coaching staff knew their wrestler and knew what he needed and when to put him back on the mat. I honestly believe wresting is about 80% MENTAL and it will amaze you what a big shot of confidence will do for a wrestler like Abe. I wish him the best against Hidlay and even an aggressive match in which he opens up and really wrestles...regardless of the final score would be a victory right now for Abe.. I think TNT and Morningstar do a tremendous job of getting their guys mentally prepared and ready to do battle.

If it’s about confidence for him then I’m not sure feeding him to the lions today is the right move. Can’t wait to see tho

If Assad keeps wrestling to this caliber he’s gonna make some noise this year. Be nice if 84 scored some decent points in march

i don't really think they " fed him to the lions".... I think it was more of a young lion set loose to see where he was afar as the rest of the lions were in the pack and he did pretty damned well for himself this week.!

It was good to see him back. The attitude is much different than his true freshman year. He was hesitant that year and playing it close like dare I say Cash W. But, what was out there in Florida looked aggressive and maybe even risky. I like this Abe Assad.
