Syria is about to get nuts

There is this: Assad is never going to be able to leave Russia. Hopefully his wife takes his money and leaves

I'm watching this interview with Assad and Barbara Walters from a decade ago.

Assad lies, deflects and dances around questions about his war crimes. He's an insufferable POS.

I hope some of you folks are starting to appreciate that life comes at you fast. Or, a crisis comes at you fast. What's it going to be like when we has a president who views things purely through the prism of how they affect him, or does something make him look bad, versus what is good for America? What happens when all the top advisors are sycophants, and not serious people who will be willing to challenge the boss or tell him something he doesn't want to hear? What happens when several of your top advisors are stooges?

Yep.

It's not looking good. I can easily see America imploding in the next few years. Easily.

I like this quote from the movie "Nixon" by Oliver Stone:

"Strength in this life...happiness in the next."

If true...WTF?
They did the pointing Spiderman meme lol

According to Morning Jomika, after 30 years the on/off/on again sanctions finally worked! The ‘people’ rose up - as one - against the brutal dictator and ran him out of town.

The CIA had nothing to do with it…sniff.

The cia will definitely be working overtime trying to convince the US tax payer that al queda are actually the good guys now

TBF, it’s the only thing Putin seems to understand.
Lol! You don’t think Putin has ever worked with/for the CIA? You notice Morell never said anything about assassinating Putin, Al-Assad or Khamenei…just wanted to send them strong messages.

Does this opinion seem on point?

Many of the world's most repressive dictators have been friends of America. Tyrants, torturers, killers, and sundry dictators and corrupt puppet-presidents have been aided, supported, and rewarded handsomely for their loyalty to US interests. Traditional dictators seize control through force, while constitutional dictators hold office through voting fraud or severely restricted elections, and are frequently puppets and apologists for the military juntas which control the ballot boxes. In any case, none have been democratically elected by the majority of their people in fair and open elections.

They are democratic America's undemocratic allies. They may rise to power through bloody ClA-backed coups and rule by terror and torture. Their troops may receive training or advice from the CIA and other US agencies. US military aid and weapons sales often strengthen their armies and guarantee their hold on power. Unwavering "anti-communism" and a willingness to provide unhampered access for American business interests to exploit their countries' natural resources and cheap labor are the excuses for their repression, and the primary reason the US government supports them. They may be linked internationalIy to extreme right-wing groups such as the World Anti-Communist League, and some have had strong Nazi affiliations and have offered sanctuary to WWll Nazi war criminals.

They usually grow rich, while their countries' economies deteriorate and the majority of their people live in poverty. US tax dollars and US-backed loans have made billionaires of some, while others are international drug dealers who also collect CIA paychecks. Rarely are they called to account for their crimes. And rarely still, is the US government held responsible for supporting and protecting some of the worst human rights violators in the world.

I’m well aware of our history with Saddam, Pinchot, Shaw, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, etc etc. my point is sometimes in order to bend them back to what we want to keep trade routes in our favor going it’s necessary. Soft diplomacy works on some. Others we do ugly unseemly things. It’s the way things have always been amongst humans competing for resources.
The Dutch for instance played both sides during the American Revolution and French Indian Wars. Same with other countries and the Civil War.

The hilarious part of the “America First” movement is the fact that the rest of the world is convinced that everything we’ve done in the last 75 years is solely in our own interest.

How much trading does Russia historically do with the West vs China. With their economy a mess and the Chinese having economic issues. There certainly is an opportunity.

There is a lot of trade between China and the U.S.

In this instance, Russia sells their oil to China. And there currently aren't any repercussions from the U.S., for China buying it.

Somehow, these two things don’t seem to mesh, lmao.

"We have no interest in a conflict with Syria," Netanyahu said in a statement. (Reuters)

AND

Israel has struck Syria more than 450 times since the collapse of the Assad regime a week ago, according to the Observatory, destroying Syria’s navy and dozens of air bases, ammunition depots and other military equipment.

Israel’s military has also seized and occupied an expanse of territory in Syria over the de facto border between the two countries, including on the Syrian side of the strategic Mt. Hermon. Israel has given no timeline for its departure, apart from saying that it would stay until its security demands were met.(NYTimes)
