"About three-in-ten veterans (29%) had combat experience at some point in their military career. The share is markedly higher among veterans who served after 9/11. Roughly half of post-9/11 veterans (49%) have had combat experience, compared with 24% of veterans who served only before 9/11."

I cannot find a breakdown between those who carried weapons and those who wrote articles following the armed forces around.

Vance has said many times that Walz not seeing war does not decrease the value of his service. It is the fact he is trying to pass policy using reference to his service in war that he never participated in that is the issue. I don’t know how many times he has to say it. Maybe view different sources of material. 🤷‍♂️

Do the remaining 70% claim to be war hero's, Generals and the like?

Asking for a friend.

My father served in WWII in a tank corps under General Patton.
His battle area was Central Europe. By God's grace he returned
home after the war with no injuries. Like most WWII Veterans my
dad did not talk about the war, and quickly got a job at the Rock
Island Arsenal in Rock Island, Illinois. I was born and raised in the
city of Davenport, Iowa.

Bottom Line: All veterans deserve our respect for serving our nation
and risking their lives for us.

I give a chuckle at all the non veterans, and the MAGA veterans who disrespect a man who put in 24 years as a volunteer, then give Breadbags a pass for talking about her time spent serving in a war zone, clearly trying to imply she is a combat veteran. Or, worship Field Marshall von Bonespurs.
