How were the Stones better than Zep??? (Besides longevity.)
Zep is a million times more musically talented. Stones have like 15 good songs.

Peart might be the best rock drummer that ever lived, but there are more than a few jazz guys that even Peart would admit were on a different level.
Great post. I still say that he and Ginger Baker laid down some of the most incredible drum tracks ever recorded on PiL’s “Album”.

FWIW, I stood next to a guy at a concert last week that claimed Josh Freese of the Foo Fighters is the greatest drummer ever.
I liked AC/DC much better with Bon Scott. Back in Black was good, but after I have not been impressed. Bon Scott AC/DC is in the top 20 bands, but not top IMO.
Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin aren’t from this planet and the Beatles are the best band of humans.

I have a hard time considering the Beatles or Pink Floyd “rock.” Beatles were basically pop, even their psychedelic stuff. Pink Floyd is hard to categorize, but I never felt “rock” was the right word.
Stones, the Who, Zeppelin, AC/DC, Aerosmith…definitely rock.
AC/DC was the most consistent band ever. Same 3 chords religiously. They were great, but far from the greatest, in fact, laughably so.
