After KF retires. The succession plan

As do I. This isn't the University of Ferentz, and last I checked prior to this year there's been a whole lot of mediocre (the butts in the seats says so as well). Brian can move elsewhere and prove himself and come back down the road if that is what fate has in store for him. Iowa can buy a whole lot of "good Coach" at $4 mil a year, give it to somebody proven they can earn it.

I don't have a feeling one way or the other with Brian Ferentz as head coach. I just want someone who can do the job well and be successful. If Brian's that guy, great! But let's go through the formal interviewing process and choose the best person for the job.

My guess is that BF will more than likely be our next head coach. He will probably be named OC in the next couple of years and after that co-head coach or something silly like that. And unless Barta can convince Bobby Stoops to come back, BF will probably be the best choice at the time, when you take into account the value of continuity.

Based on what, seriously, based on what?

Oh Christ. Who knows? Who cares? I hope it's Brian just to piss off the nepotism guys, and I hope its diaco to piss off the ferentz guys, and I hope its the stoops brother in kentucky just to piss off the bielema fans.

Nobody knows who it is going to be, but I have little doubt the head coach will be great for the team.

Maybe it'll be Marcus Paschall, he is running a winning program these days. More than can be said for Bielema, Diaco, hell even Mark Stoops overall.
