That is certainly reasonable, a new coach needs time to get his program in place. Unfortunately, I don't think the Husker media will be as understanding or patient; I predict it will get a little rocky at some point. Martinez looks the part, the kind of athlete to build an offense around.

Yes. I consider this to be Frost’s first real test. Will he risk a promising young potential star before he is acceptably healed, bowing to pressure and unrealistic fan expectations? Or, will he do what’s right and play appropriately healthy players regardless of the points difference? He says he will not sacrifice the future for short term gain, so that’s hopeful.

Husker fans and media do themselves no favors wondering where the string of wins is, ramping up pressure and expectations. We should all have internally written the season off after the Gebbia departure, Martinez injury disaster and given him time to just coach.
