Your defense is so tired, they can't stop that rb. Let them score and take the 2 mind to score. Terrible decision making.

We lost by 3 on the last drive. We relied on our defense who hadn't given up a touchdown. You pick your battles and our offense had done nothing while our defense was great. I may have let them score but I understand the reasoning. How do you tell your amazing defense to let them score? You're an idiot.

Great game by both teams and a championship drive but you have to let them score when they picked up the first down after a 9 minute drive. Give yourself a chance.

That's rediculous. I'm sure you wanted Ferentz fired last year too. 12-1 is on Ferentz. Give him an extension!

Inches away from great stand. Could have gone either way.

Focus on the positives and get some real opponents on your future schedules to man up your half of the b1g

You couldn't stop them the previous 20 plays, and the offense had something cooking on the previous 2 drives. Cut your losses and take your chances with the stronger unit (at that point in the game). If an "idiot" like me can see that, a 4 million dollar HC should too.

It's college football. They can fumble a snap. They could have a false start. You don't let people score in CFB.

The defense was amazing tonight. I completely understand him standing behind them. It's a game of inches, and we came up on the wrong side of those inches tonight.

Seriously, shut the **** up.

You don't look your defense in the eyes who haven't given up a td all game and take it away from them.

No way you let them waltz in with 2 minutes left.

Shut up. You're an idiot.
Rude to tell someone to shut up...but thanks for telling him to do so...it is all on Ferentz 12-1 outstanding...I thought he should have let them score...but hell they had the stop on third down...great effort

You're absolutely correct. Over and over again their RB's wiggled and stretched for the extra yard on that last drive.

The stronger unit? Now I know you are an idiot. Could let them score but we are a wrapped up tackle from 4th down. Please go cheer for someone else if you really are a hawkeye fan.

You do NOT let someone score. So many things could have happened. Penalties, turnovers, a stop.

Great season. Sucks we lost but if there is any second guessing to do its not about this.

You're a moron, an absolute moron. You seriously don't need to exist.

The Patriots did it in the super bowl. You have to play the odds. I don't blame anyone just think you have to give yourself a chance once they have 4 chances from the 2.

22 plays.....let that sink in for awhile.

They came so close to stopping them. Letting them score would have been idiotic. I watched an Iowa defense against Syracuse years ago stuff them like 7 times in a row from the 1 to win a game. You can't just let them score when it's a 4 point game. 2 point game maybe. The 4th and 2 call should have been a sellout blitz on the run. I don't blame anyone. Both teams played a hell of a game and MSU made the plays to win the game.

Yes you do. When they prove they're too tired to do their job, you say "hell of an effort, you gave us an opportunity to win. I'm putting this on our undefeated QB now."

The defense gave all they had, need to give your offense an opportunity.

Ferentz obviously did an amazing job for your team this year, and I thought he coached a good game overall - he was smart to use his timeouts on defense on that drive. But, once MSU got first and goal at the three, I think the percentage move is to concede the TD and give yourself the 1:50 or so for offense, only needing a field goal. It's an outside the box way of thinking, but on the other hand, asking a tired defense to make four consecutive stops on the goal line is a lot.

You should go into coaching man. Do it, you're a stud - you have all of the answers.

Seriously, I look forward to watching you coach a game of football.

Syracuse isn't msu.

Don't bother. Evidently logic is lost on most of this fanbase.

I wouldn't mind losing this game so much except all the blowhards are gonna take it as vindication that we didn't earn the right to be there.

You are not an idiot, only a real loser would have given up the TD. That's why you make $8.25/hr & you have PTSD from your head hitting the glass ceiling.

What an insightful response.

Game was lost in the 3rd quarter... A 22 play drive didn't help but the 3rd was brutal for time of possession.
