Always Classy...

Why the need to take a shot at the Hawks if ISU wasn't even interested? Screams little brother.

That's exactly what I was thinking about taking jab at a kid they aren't even interested in but Iowa is (which is kind of amazing since they've offered every one else). Also next time this guy is recruiting a kid other schools can use this tweet against him and ISU to show the the kind of guy who is recruiting him is. Would love to see how he would respond to some recruit or his Dad when he's meeting them in their house and they bring this up to see how he'd respond.

Worse yet least the guy could do is tweet some apology or do something even reach out and apologize to the kid he offended. Least man up and own your mistake but yet we've seen nothing of the sort.

The best part is that as I understand it, the isu compliance dept is aware of the tweet and since the coach was talking about a specific prospective student athlete it is an NCAA rules violation that they will have to self report.

Hilarious, bad enough the isu coach is a moron but now he is a cheater to boot.

Feel free to tell us how it really is Cytwins, that is always good for some laughs.

A couple things in retrospect. While I don't think he meant it to come out, I know of a couple Iowa coaches that lost jobs over recruiting snafus. Also, this literally screams little brother. Last, Iowa would need to hire about 4 more coaches if they had to respond to the bazillion of offers made by ISU. Simply put, weak, pathetic and consistent with their program from the AD down and fan base in its obsession with Big Brother.

This brings to mind this hilarious scene...

Kirk is sitting in a recruit's living room, telling him all the positives of coming to Iowa. The recruit's parent brings up ISU, and how Campbell has exciting things going on in Ames.

Kirk pauses, reaches into his attache, and brings out a printout of a tweet to show the recruit and his parents....

I think he was all of the above dumb, careless, AND classless. Copying someone on an e-mail or text that was not meant to see it is careless. Of course this talk goes on between coaches. I was an assistant coach DIII for 7 years and used much worse descriptions of high school players I had seen. Even had to look high school kids in the eye and tell them I didn't think they were good enough to play for us. But this? Yes, I'd include classless right along with dumb. Careless not so much because he didn't "accidentally" send it out.

he was INCREDIBLY DUMB because after he read the tweet, HE HIT THE REPLY BUTTON UNDER THE TWEET. When he types his reply he sees who will be receiving his reply. NO EXCUSE for this.

Nice job. That tweet is not going to help the clowns with reciting if they get caught bad mouthing a high school kid.

Somehow, I'm pretty sure they already knew this. D3.

Because it was D3 they new they were not good enough to play D3. Not sure I understand. Look, I played DI and a short stint professional. Doesn't matter what level if a coach looks you in the eye and tells you he's "underwhelmed" by your performance you take it personal.
