LOL. The kids playing for them now were in diapers and have no recollection of the last time UN won as much as a conference championship.
If you think UN is a 'blue blood' program because they won 5 NC's last century, then damn sure Minnesota is a 'blue blood' because the won 7 NC's last century.
Lol, if Neb’s a blue blood then so is Iowa. We won a Nat Title in the last milineum as well.
Definition of a has-been "blue blood"...Nebraska could go winless for 20 consecutive seasons and at the same time Iowa could go undefeated for 20 consecutive seasons, and Iowa still wouldn't have as many all time wins...that is the definition of a blue blood (notice no quotation marks)

You mean the Minnesota that has 200 less wins than Nebraska...that Minnesota? Try again...
But their fans are "Blue Blood" elite! As in Blue Blood full of crap.Geezus man, let it go already. Let’s look at this rationally:
-Nebraska hasn’t won a conference title in 19 seasons.
-Nebraska has finished in the top 15 only once in the last 15 seasons.
-Nebraska last finished in the top-10 eighteen seasons ago.
-Nebraska has only had 3 recruiting classes finish in the top-15 in the 17 years Rivals has been rating classes.
-Nebraska’s average recruiting rank in the 17 seasons Rivals has ranked classes is 24th.
Bottom line, Nebraska isn’t relevant nationally in winning or recruiting. They are not a blue blood program. They’re essentially a shell of their blue blood past. And until their recruiting improves dramatically, they will remain that way.
This is true, but let's look at the the schedules. For many years Nebr played Lincoln High School twice a year. Also the all powerful Occidental College. It's a different era. Talking about what happened many many years ago has 0 effect on what's happening in football today.Nebraska could go winless for 20 consecutive seasons and at the same time Iowa could go undefeated for 20 consecutive seasons, and Iowa still wouldn't have as many all time wins...that is the definition of a blue blood (notice no quotation marks)

When Nebraska played Miami a couple years ago, the talking heads called it the “Has Been Bowl”.
And yet Iowa and Wisconsin continue to piss pound you...When Iowa played Wisconsin last year the talking heads called it the "Never Been Bowl"
