Vito Perillo, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey, died at 100 years old.
He was serving his second term.

The World War II Navy Veteran was first elected in 2017, beating an incumbent when he was 93.
Perillo wasn’t a member of a major political party and ran a door-to-door campaign.
He worked as an engineer for the Department of Defense before seeking office.
