America is not morally superior to Russia..

Did the president sign into law mandatory minimums, you semantic douchebag?

Our election system is a sham put on full display with the nomination process. Sorry, I'm way ahead of the curve on this. Who did you vote for?

Semantics? Even a fifth grader could tell you the president doesn't pass laws. And prison populations were skyrocketing before the federal crime bill passed because the STATES were passing their own minimum sentencing laws...and STATES house something over 80% of all incarcerated individuals. But I know...you NEVER vote for a major party candidate on the local level.

I voted for Clinton if that's what you're asking. Never supported her but I had the sense to recognize she would be better than Cheeto...you know, the guy you either directly or indirectly voted for.

So you're a fraud and a hypocrite. You oppose bombing, but, you voted for Hillary (Destroyer of Nations).

The president can't pass anything. Try again. The president can only sign or veto legislation that has been passed by Congress. Basic stuff, really. Grade school. And you vote third party for your representative and senators? And you vote for the greater of two evils for president? Every time? Got some bad news...you aren't changing a damn thing in this country. You've opted out.

And can you give a an eight year time period where the US wasn't involved in multiple conflicts? Can you give me an eight year period where another country bombed more countries than the US? Your conceit is pretending this is some unique situation and Obama is "the one who must not be named". i oppose the drone program. I opposed the war in Iraq. I opposed the war in Afghanistan. I'm a Quaker - I oppose ALL armed conflict. It's a thing we do. I'm also not an idiot who pretends it's not going to occur.

Nat didn't take 8th grade civics.

I think that's why he believes everything is a conspiracy.

You OTOH, don't see conspiracy in anything. You'd make a lousy detective or insurance investigator...or lousy anything for that matter.

When a murder is committed and someone collects the insurance, someone with a brain checks for motive or who is to collect on the insurance. They become suspect #1. Your half-wit skull says, "Don't look there".

Didn't the 9/11 perps conspire? Can you name anything government has done that was conspiratorial?

My point is that government conspiracies get exposed...always. Look at Watergate. Nixon tried to cover it up and that lasted about a minute.

Conspiracies get exposed.

Wouldn't you agree that it is harder today to expose since the days of Watergate? Today, just 6 corporations control the news consumed by 90% of the people. They are granted federal licenses in many markets.

Do you think Watergate is the only conspiracy?

Nope. It's MUCH easier to expose conspiracies nowadays because of 24/7 news coverage, social media and cameras everywhere.

Sorry bro but your world view is false.

What country has bombed / invaded more than the U.S. the past 8 years? I asked that. You said beats me. You know it, Smart guy. Answer it. Quid pro quo.
Show me where I'm wrong. Does the truth hurt that much? Snap out of your trance.

First, there is the moral question of whether we should be involved with the situation in Syria at all. I don't think we should have been involved in the Mid East in the first place. Now, I don't know what is to be gained or what risks we run if we call it off and leave. It is a Vietnam on steroids. As far as bombing is concerned, you obsess over the bombing. Well 26k(+) bombs tactically over 2 years or so is chicken feed. Have civilian deaths resulted? Of course. That's the nature of war. Is your Hero Putin innocent? Hell no. According to the independent.co, Russia was "directly targeting civilians" in Syria, killing at least 200 in possible war crimes, Amnesty report reveals.

Whether or not you accept this as true, there are plenty of sources to access for you to either bring yourself to find that Putin is not angelic.

As far as the U.S. is concerned, we have a horrible history of humanity. We bombed cities in WW2 for the purpose of breaking the morale of the Germans and Japanese, killing hundreds of thousands. Did we exceed the moral excesses of the Germans? No. We didn't come close. Did we kill the number of military and civilians the Russians did in WW2? No. But we didn't suffer to the extent the Russians did at the hands of the Germans.

The number of people in our prisons. Ridiculous. But that is the result of the 3 strikes law that should be done away with.

It's hard to argue that stance when we keep dropping bombs on people's heads. But please everyone go on with your false sense of morality.

Bring out troops home, stop bombing other nations, fix Flints water here instead (and other stuff like this bc obviously we can't do both...bc we haven't been doing both).

That's not what he said, or what Nat's saying.
No one is saying that the US hasn't done crappy things, what we're saying is that the US isn't crap, and that it's certainly better than Russia.
The fruit-loops, er patriots, in this thread keep talking about all the bombs we drop. The ignore the billions in humanitarian aid we spread around the world each year. You want to compare Russia's crimes to their humanitarian projects?

You can't have it both ways.......... Look up what Democrats said about Bush and Bush policy and nation building, only to turn around in the last 8 years and impress their own brand of imperialistic ideology..........
Our "humanitarian" aid comes with billions of strings attached........we don't do anything without a kick back.

The fact that you are older than me, and STILL believe in conspiracies and you think you know how the world works is sad, Nat.

Putin is NOT my hero. Anyone who lusts to rule over the people with their boot on the throat of the citizenry is scum in my eyes. Ergo, U.S. politicians included.

As far as Syria goes, they are Russia's ally and had welcomed their neighbor to help defend them, as the U.S. has marked Syria for regime change since 1991. General Wesley Clark confirmed this. The U.S. has been arming and funding terrorists in Syria to overthrow them. Russia took the terrorists out. For that, the great humanitarian state AKA Saudi Arabia (Sunni) and the U.S. are pissed.

The 26K bombs were for last year, not 2. What did these countries do to us? We are creating terrorists. All this crap is bad for our economy. Dollars would be better spent at home building our crumbling infrastructure. Our liberties are being thrown down the toilet.

Feel free to explain this to me:

Go back to school or at least read a real book by a real Historian and not a conspiracy blog.

History is littered with false flag conspiracies little fella. Now grow up, shut your mouth and learn. Class is in session with your elders:

False Flags Are Just a Conspiracy Theor … Admitted Fact
Posted on February 2, 2016 by WashingtonsBlog
Presidents, Prime Ministers, Congressmen, Generals, Spooks, Soldiers and Police ADMIT to False Flag Terror
In the following instances, officials in the government which carried out the attack (or seriously proposed an attack) admit to it, either orally, in writing, or through photographs or videos:

(1) Japanese troops set off a small explosion on a train track in 1931, and falsely blamed it on China in order to justify an invasion of Manchuria. This is known as the “Mukden Incident” or the “Manchurian Incident”. The Tokyo International Military Tribunal found: “Several of the participators in the plan, including Hashimoto [a high-ranking Japanese army officer], have on various occasions admitted their part in the plot and have stated that the object of the ‘Incident’ was to afford an excuse for the occupation of Manchuria by the Kwantung Army ….” And see this.

(2) A major with the Nazi SS admitted at the Nuremberg trials that – under orders from the chief of the Gestapo – he and some other Nazi operatives faked attacks on their own people and resources which they blamed on the Poles, to justify the invasion of Poland.

(3) Nazi general Franz Halder also testified at the Nuremberg trials that Nazi leader Hermann Goering admitted to setting fire to the German parliament building in 1933, and then falsely blaming the communists for the arson.

(4) Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev admitted in writing that the Soviet Union’s Red Army shelled the Russian village of Mainila in 1939 – while blaming the attack on Finland – as a basis for launching the “Winter War” against Finland. Russian president Boris Yeltsin agreed that Russia had been the aggressor in the Winter War.

(5) The Russian Parliament, current Russian president Putin and former Soviet leader Gorbachev all admit that Soviet leader Joseph Stalin ordered his secret police to execute 22,000 Polish army officers and civilians in 1940, and then falsely blamed it on the Nazis.

(6) The British government admits that – between 1946 and 1948 – it bombed 5 ships carrying Jews attempting to flee the Holocaust to seek safety in Palestine, set up a fake group called “Defenders of Arab Palestine”, and then had the psuedo-group falsely claim responsibility for the bombings (and see this, thisand this).

(7) Israel admits that in 1954, an Israeli terrorist cell operating in Egypt planted bombs in several buildings, including U.S. diplomatic facilities, then left behind “evidence” implicating the Arabs as the culprits (one of the bombs detonated prematurely, allowing the Egyptians to identify the bombers, and several of the Israelis later confessed) (and see this and this).

(8) The CIA admits that it hired Iranians in the 1950′s to pose as Communists and stage bombings in Iran in order to turn the country against its democratically-elected prime minister.

(9) The Turkish Prime Minister admitted that the Turkish government carried out the 1955 bombing on a Turkish consulate in Greece – also damaging the nearby birthplace of the founder of modern Turkey – and blamed it on Greece, for the purpose of inciting and justifying anti-Greek violence.

(10) The British Prime Minister admitted to his defense secretary that he and American president Dwight Eisenhower approved a plan in 1957 to carry out attacks in Syria and blame it on the Syrian government as a way to effect regime change.

(11) The former Italian Prime Minister, an Italian judge, and the former head of Italian counterintelligence admit that NATO, with the help of the Pentagon and CIA, carried out terror bombings in Italy and other European countries in the 1950s through the 1980s and blamed the communists, in order to rally people’s support for their governments in Europe in their fight against communism.

As one participant in this formerly-secret program stated: “You had to attack civilians, people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple. They were supposed to force these people, the Italian public, to turn to the state to ask for greater security”so that “a state of emergency could be declared, so people would willingly trade part of their freedom for the security” (and see this) (Italy and other European countries subject to the terror campaign had joined NATO before the bombings occurred). And watch this BBC special. They also allegedly carried out terror attacks in France, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the UK, and other countries.

False flag attacks carried out pursuant to this program include – by way of example only:
