Oral Roberts only shot 35.7% from the field against Ohio State and still won. That is a tough pill to swallow.Like I said for our preview of Grand Canyon.....

11 made 3s for Oral Roberts to just 5 of 23 for Ohio State. Add turnovers and other general poor play and Ohio State makes history......
It would behoove us to not follow that same formula tomorrow........
I had this argument with a Michigan fan after our loss to Minnesota when they made 17 threes but had an average 3pt %.
The percentages can lie about what is really happening in the game.
I have said for the past month that I can't understand why Holtman allows Washington to keep chucking low percentage shots down the stretch of games, when it is clear he isn't on. OSU had Illannoy down 5 with the ball and about 3 min to go, and Washington went 1 for 8 to lose the game, with Liddell barely touching the ball. Basically the same thing today. When Washington is on, he looks unstoppable and OSU can beat anyone, but his slump, especially at the end of games, is why they had their four-game losing streak. Oral Roberts was the better team today. Their two stars are great players.

one of my all time favorite memories regarding the March Madness BB tournament was involving a coworker who when asked to participate by picking a bracket, we just wanted his entry fee, asked us if basketball was the game where the ball was round.Yes, yes it is. Well he talked his way through his picks right there in front of us with "logic" just like that...and he almost won it. I think he got 2nd or 3rd and every game that he won that all of the rest of us smarties got wrong was a riot of laughter in the office.
