And the Heisman trophy goes to...

There's a case to be made for the RB that has 4th most yards all time with at least 1 game remaining. There are RBs that have won it with fewer yards and TDs.
They weren’t going up against Travis Hunter the years they won it. Give it a rest millduh! They got it right brah.

Doing what he did, on both sides of the ball in the same season, is a nearly impossible feat. I think the comparison to previous corners who won doesn't quite fit as they put up stats as special teamers. Not the same as being one of the best regular down wrs in the game at the same time as being an AA DB.
1443 snaps in 12 games(120+ per game) is a ridiculous number.

Yep. And I'm happy anytime a non-quarterback wins the Heisman. Non-QBs typically have to be generational talents to win (just like this year). And I like the fact that they actually picked someone not even in the playoffs.

Being the best player in the country doesn't require that you are on one of the best teams in the country

We're sports fans, so it makes sense that we care. As do other sports fans considering that it was all over TV and social media the last few weeks.
Im a sports fan...however I have an actual, real life. Maybe quit watching too much TV and spending all the time with your face in your phone on social media.

Jeanty and his dad both said he got screwed. Pretty classless, really. “I should have walked away with it,” Jeanty.
full quote:

“I really felt like I should’ve walked away with the award, but kudos to Travis for winning,” Jeanty told reporters Saturday after finishing as the Heisman runner-up. “But yeah, it’s simple as that. Work harder, go harder.”

Who else could possibly have won it? It's supposed to go to the best football player in America, and Travis Hunter is an All-American . . . on both sides of the ball! Hell, he's on the field for over 100 plays a game, and he's spectacular. Any other choice would have made the Heisman totally irrelevant.

And although I know there are plenty of racists who hate Coach Prime, his team is pretty damn good. So is his son, the QB, and Hunter is clearly the best football player in the land. And I love Colorado.

Does everything ALWAYS have to be about race for some of you sick ****s? God damn.
