I think this was her way of handling the embarrassment of the situation.
Years ago my mother saved someone in a restaurant. He profusely thanked her but also booked it out of there. I think there’s a feeling of gluttony and stupidity.
Which makes it even dumber. She feels embarrassed so her natural reaction is to blame it on the libs? God forbid she ever cuts a fart in Congress. The trans will get an earload.

This positive ending for Breadbags could have been avoided if Rand's neighbor had finished the job.
