Is there a good Badger forum for good football talk as I don’t see anything besides paying a membership fee on the rival boards NOT.. but I thought there was a good forum out there that’s not rivals?

SBN's OTE is a very good B10 blog with several decent Badger posters. It's a blog, not a message board, but the comments sections are lively. But given it's a blog, generally stories aren't around very long so if you're going to comment, the shelf life is roughly 24 hours tops and it helps to be there early.
Wisconsin was this past week...the lead WI writer for the site was "decidedly angry" it seems, because Wisconsin also tends to get picked on a lot (much like Iowa does). The site tends to deride the West big time...get used to it and don't take it personally.
Go find their B10 pre-season team by team preview weeks for each school so far and read them all starting from beginning (Illinois) to end (Wisconsin was this past week, OSU up next). They got good writers from each school and usually the stories are pretty good (and at times a bit off topic yet humorous), and the comments on them even better.
And if you've never really ventured outside the Hawkeye cocoon very much on the internet, get used to the fact that quite frankly, Iowa posters take a LOT of guff from just about everybody. A lot of it is "kilroy" and troll derived. There are a few posters from here that aren't afraid of the Rivals CFB soundoff board (they limit unpaid posting to roughly one post every 5 days in the off-season because of trolling) but the handful of Hawk posters there are paid subscribers.
But otherwise, I stick to mostly OTE and BHGP outside the Rivals (paid) landscape. As far as a Badger specific message board...no clue. Like I say...there just ain't a lot of free boards out there any more that are worth the effort. I post on CF's football board during the season now and then, but otherwise, this is mostly home for me outside what I've already listed.

I'll also add about SBN site commenting...it's "the deep end of the pool". A LOT of nerds post there. Smart posters.

The Rivals CFB board is free. The Main Board is paid. If you have trouble posting more than a few messages, just ask in the pinned thread at the top of the page and the mods will try to free you up.
I've been posting there for over 10 years. Great gathering of CFB fans from all over, including a handful of Wisconsin fans.
Don't know how lively the Rivals Wisconsin board is. We get a few Badger fans over here during the season, but nothing like ISU or Nebraska fans.
Yeah, I've tried that, for whatever reason they cannot figure out how to fix it for me to post. I was recently given a gift cert for $100 for my b-day, so I signed up for Rivals paid. I'll be good for a year. It's great for lurking on other boards, but I stray post on them very rarely.
You're over there often (Soundoff). It's a decent board. Very SEC driven I'd say. The UCF Honors guy is a piece of work too and there are some serious professional trollers for sure. I stay out of the fray, mostly join in on off topic stuff. Most the regulars over there abhor home boards from the way it looks.
Never had a problem with multiple posts over there. Kilroy is hated over there just as much as he is here or should I say Gilligan.
Buckyville is free but I don't go there so idk if it's active. If you're a 247 member the 247 Badger board is the most active I've seen, much bigger than Rivals.
Buckyville is very non P.C so if you love cussing and talking about drinks then you might enjoy it. Their rivals board is not as good as this one.
