Looking at getting another property. Curious what your experience with Airbnb / VRBO has been?

Depending on where you're looking, I'd say it's not worth it anymore. The hostility in many markets towards STRs, the general shittiness of people/renters, and the increasing fees has made it a pain in the ass that's not worth it. I've converted everything to LTRs or sold the property. It's not 2013 anymore.

It can be worth it, but it really depends on the management company, if you don’t want to do it yourself.

Profitability over having a long-term tenant will depend on location, management, and the general market. I have a friend that’s doing slightly better on some places in Nashville doing an 80-20% split with a good management company. Doubt we could do it where we live.

Do you plan to manage it yourself or have a property manager take care of it? No dog here, we have friends that own a condo in Siesta Key that is managed for them. They have access to that condo like 6 weeks out of 52 and have certain responsibilities that they have to take care of out side of the managers.

Really depends on the local market,.. and a lot of areas are now over saturated...

Both are rapidly losing profits.

Everyone is getting calls from Hilton offering crazy deals.

I spent $225 for the full 7 days at a Very Nice Hilton Resort (not hotel) in Orlando.
