an airport hotel to Pasadena? Based on what I've, gathered it sounds like you need to find a way to get to Union Station and hop on the Gold Line which is supposed to have trains running every 9 minutes.

I'm planning on taking Purple Line from my friend's apt in Koreatown to Union Station and Gold Line to Pasadena.

The internet says it's not too difficult, but leaving myself plenty of time on Friday morning just in case.

That's what we'll be doing early Friday morning to get to the Rose Parade. We're staying near LAX at a friend's hotel, and we're just driving downtown and hopping on the Metro. You can take the Metro bus/rail the entire way from LAX to Pasadena, but it'll take awhile.
