I wonder if some of you longtime fans are still watching all four quarters these days.

Lately I've just been tuning in a little to the 1st and 4th quarters.

Winning cures all, but even some of the wins this year have been dull. Having a hard time getting excited watching the player personnel on this team.

Anyone else getting sleepy from KF's latest mediocre product?

i haven't been able to turn one off early yet, but I came damn close today. can't say I paid a whole lot more than half asses attention the 2nd half of the game after the quick score to solidify Purdue's win with 14:40 left in the 3rd

yes and no longer even upset with results given the coaching staff nothing will change until Ferentz is gone/retired. Very sad no excitement on the field or by the fans. Wait until next year and it is a do-over.

GETTING bored? LOL. I've been bored with our offense for years.

Even when I’ve been bored, I’ve always watched the whole games. Iowa football is a sacred ritual and I always savored the few games we get each year. Now the boredom has elevated to obscene levels and I just can’t stay engaged.

Left my first ever home game early at half time of the Minnesota game. Die hard forever but this is garbage football.
Left one game early myself.... 2012 vs Penn State.

scalped the best seats I had ever had for a game at Kinnick and it was a night game against PSU no less. picked my tickets up from a guy with a sick kid at 1 am in Des Moines the night prior. 45 yard line, west stands row 30ish. was so hyped for that game...

was gone 2 minutes into the 3rd quarter at 31-0. we all know how the rest of that season went

Kind of checked out. I pay about half attention with a fair amount of channel changing which increases as the game progresses.
Some people love low scoring defensive battles. I'm not one of them.
I'm settling more into apathy. They are what they are. No reason to expect anything different. Certainly nothing to get worked up about.

I thought the offense was entertaining the second half. Mostly in a comical way, but still entertaining. I kept wondering how low they could go. Then they suddenly used a hurry up offense, played with tempo, and nearly gave themselves a chance to win he game. Too bad they didn't try to play uptempo sooner. There's a reason other teams do that more regularly. Why they weren't in that mode by the start of the 4th quarter? All I can say is "Kirk."

Agree. I've always said Iowa plays better with tempo than slow it down, grind it out style of play. Did the coaching staff even watch the tOSU game film regarding the style of play, aggressiveness, and playing fast all night looking for the tight ends as their primary targets.

After today's first 3 and out, I asked myself: Do I really want to watch 3 hours of an offensive turd-show against 4-6 Purdue?

Today was no different than the 2012 Purdue game -- you know, the one with those program changing alt unis:

Left after Purdue’s second touchdown in 3rd quarter today. Made the right decision.

I did fall asleep sometime in the 1st qtr. Only because I was deer hunting all morning & up early.
Woke up with 6 min left in 2nd.
By the end of the game I wished I had slept through.

After last week's debacle, I decided to go drink a bunch of whiskey with friends. Looks like I made the right decision. This offense is putrid to watch (outside of the OSU game and 1/2 the OSU game). Nothing is going to change people.....

Thats how I feel.

We're usually hunting most staturdays in the fall but that always, and I mean always, for decades, used to revolve around the game, now its become the other way around the last couple years.

Theres no excitement left in this program unless were playing a big name.

Pretty much explains why Iowa can't recruit 4* skill position players.

Don’t want to hijack, I really don’t think talent is the main issue especially against the Purdue’s, NW’s, etc. Our scheme and approach on offense has been and will continue to be archaic under KF. What’s worse, when we had really good teams, our special teams were a strength. JFC look at what a grease fire that is nowadays (outside of Recinos). I love Iowa football but this is no longer enjoyable whatsoever. I said after the OSU game that wins like that are an aberration. How we played the rest of the season are what we have become, and it ain’t good.

No sellouts this year so you are not the only one. I spend good money to fly back once a year for my beloved Hawks but no more. Dont even consider bowl games anymore and never used to miss one. Special teams are hardly special and the offense is a disaster. Cant take it anymore...too many years waiting for an offense and some sense of consistency.

Yep. That s the way to respond DONT GO TO GAMES!!!! If you think it's a bad product don't go and the market will correct itself meaning there will be changes. DONT GO!!!!!! And don't burn your hard earned ones on this product!

It sucks sitting in the cold weather for almost four hours and the only thing worth a damn during the game is the wave. Iowa games have become snoozefests.

I am a 20 year season ticket holder but considering only buying single game tickets against any top ten team we play next year. If the players and coaches don’t want to show up for the other games, why should us fans?

I caught a pretty kickass episode of 'Homestead Rescue' on Discovery for most of the second half.

I just don't know how much more of this Iowa fans can take.

Last year, we had an NFL QB and the offense was horrendous. Yes, I know CJB didn't have much help, but Iowa was still nearly last statistically. Then, this year's offense is comparably bad. It's just tough to watch, even when they have won the last couple of years.

I'm not trying to overact, and I don't think most fans are, but what we saw today just pushed it over the top for me from what we have seen the last two years on offense.

I fell asleep at halftime of the UM-UW game around 1pm and woke up halfway through our game. I'm so done with this season.

Next weekend has some good games and championship weekend looks pretty fun.

Todays game felt 7 hours long.

Instead of the North end zone expansion, how about installing free huge band width wi fi to give fans something to do during these types of games?
Way too sexy for this coaching staff. They prefer that you wait until sunday morning and read about the news in the morning paper.
