Saw this tonight. Dave Schultz was a monster but Dupont just messed up. Tragic ending.

I'd never heard that story about Shultz shooting the bottle rockets toward the "Big House" at the party. Sounds like that was basically what sealed his fate, horrible. Du Pont was more lucid, acclimated, social, athletic but at the same time CRAZIER than he was portrayed in the movie.

It was fantastic. Better than the movie in my opinion. There were some pretty high powered wrestlers on site at different times with Schultz, Brands, KJ...

A lot of guys were there. There was money and training. They had a few world camps there as well. Smith was not part of the club but even he was there a few times.

I thought is was a great show. Sunrises Nancy was no t on it. One thing I remember was that Dave stayed there because he wanted to make sure other could leave. He felt he could keep DP in check but he was planing on leaving too.

Anyway. Great show and much better view than the movie.

Nancy has been working on her own documentary the past few years. I believe we'll see it start to pop up around the new year.

It sounds like the entire wrestling community knew about Du Pont and covered it up.

If remember right, wasn't there an article about how at the trials in 96 there was big rift between guys because some of them still wore the fox catcher singlets even after what had happened and guys still accepting money from the foxcatcher club even afterwards? Can some correct me if I am wrong but if I am remembering right the whole thing caused some issues between guys I thought.

The 303 for 30 was very well done. Very scary just how far DuPont had slid into the paranoia, threating guys, constantly carrying a gun, scary stuff.

All it took was a little money and everyone looked the other way. Kurt Angle said, "“People saw it coming,” and “No one did a damn thing about it.”

Did 30 for 30 cover the fact that Dupont was a pervert and the sexual harassment?

There isn't a documentary long enough to explain all the messed up things "that guy" had. I don't think it "covered up" that stuff, but it's an hour program (46 minutes, maybe), so not everything could be crammed in there without it taking away something else.

How was it not covered up? Everyone seemed to know and they did nothing. In the case of Dupont, some of the victims actually went public and their were lawsuits. The wrestlers knew. Villanova university knew. Everyone who knew Dupont knew.
