Are Hawks everywhere excited about the new massage board format!

No!
It is now April 25th and I am reiterating that this new board/format sucks big time!!!! Moving from forum to forum is tedious and time consuming, plus I get logged out and have to login again to post. I'll stay as a member but I am really unhappy about/with this change.

I like the new format better. Sure, it takes some getting used to but the functions are better. I can easily view my recent activity, get information on certain members, and it works well with my mobile phone. Plus, the off topic board is open to free users.

First time actually looking at the site as the mobile app quit showing the message boards for me. I assume they are related, but maybe it's just my phone?

I don't like change at all. But this change is the "easiest to live with" of all website changes I have witnessed over the years. I think I will get used to it pretty quick.

The new ESPN is garbage. I go days at a time without looking at it. Get most of my news from the mobile app now.

New format is exponentially better. Felt like I was in 1997 on the old site. Nice work on the upgrade!

Where is the good ol' ignore function?

Love the new look, btw. The old site sucked on mobile by today's standards. I only visit from my phone and tablet, so that's a big deal to me.

Update the app. Works fine then.
iPhone apps update automatically. Looks like his one finally did today. The functionality from the app looks much improved. Favorite feature so far is asking me to login before replying. The old app would let you reply even if you had been logged out and then just take you to the board home page with no message.

I hate that it's really tough to see the username of who is talking...hopefully people add distinctive avatars.

Well said. New ESPN site is awful. Clicking on scores or even trying to read the Big 10 football blog. It is terrible now to scroll from one article to the next full of ads. Liked the old format but this one but not like this one is an awful transition like what ESPN did to their site.

Not sure on the new format yet. Clicking the "quote" button gives me this "message added to multi queue" message.. WTF? Why can't it just simply open up a reply with the previous message already quoted? Seems over complicated to me. Sometimes things can get TOO fancy, IMO.

I agree totally on ESPN's new site. It sucks. Like the MLB scores, I used to be able to scroll through the scores and instantly see who has hit HR's during that game, but now I have to select each and every game and check the box score just to see that. Takes WAY longer. Why take that away? It was convenient. Plus, NL and AL games were separated out into each side of the screen, now it's all mixed together. They don't even have AL first or NL, it's totally random. Awesome.

I don't mind changes that make a site look nice and/or make it faster and easier to use, but I swear, 75% of the time, the changes to a site just add 2 or 3 extra steps to get to the same place you could get before with just one click. Not sure sure who's making those design decisions, but it's idiotic.

If you click the Reply button on the post you are reading, the post is automatically quoted. the Quote button is used if you want to quote multiple posts.

Absolutely NOT. This reminds me of the some those gosh awful alternative uniforms that teams are using for a game.

I see other team's sites are also revised; therefore, this must be a Rival's thing? Maybe Rivals could follow Scout's lead and give the customer the option to select which format they want to navigate their site with, the new or established?

I found the ignore button! Just click on offending poster's avatar and there is a line with the choices, Profile Page, Follow, Ignore.

Don't like it as well. But I will adjust.
