Are Trumps policies causing a recession?

I understand the problem to be items being considered non negotiatable that with any scrutiny at all would be considered very negotiable buy the tax payers.
So is Social Security negotiable? Is medicare negotiable? Is defense? If corporates and individuals pay a bit more we can truely balance the budget or even start paying some down.

There are going to be items within the "mandatory" spending we realize are not mandatory.

Defense is in non mandatory.

If you tax the public at 99%, the government will always have a reason thst needs to be the budget. We donr have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem.

All of those are negotiable,.. and all of them should be expected to contribute in some fashion.

My advise to everyone, GET THE HELL out of the market NOW before you lose everything. Crazy Filthy DON is doing everything he can to lower, CRASH the market, WHY, I DON'T KNOW. Back in the late 70s the market dropped like a rock and it took years to get back what we lost.

The issue is you don’t know you are in a recession until several months later. Consumer confidence has fallen off a cliff in just 2-3 weeks. Business investment has been strong as a counterweight, but the canaries in the coal mine of consumer sentiment flipping and rising unemployment are there. If I miss a run I’m ok with it. I’m watching Bitcoin, will it break 100k and go on its expected run, or will it break below 95k and head towards 70k. I think that is what in using for my investor confidence barometer.
Bitcoin broke that 95k marks, still holding on just below, but I expect this sell off to continue to build momentum. Crypto and Nasdaq are the major underperformers.

Edit: This isn't a train I want to be in front of especially in the more speculative parts of the market.

The stock market is in full on fear/sell mode. MSTR which is based on Bitcoin, started the day at $294, is currently at $247. Now it is volatile, but a 15% swing in a day is a bit epic. Early stages, but this appears to be a sell everything situation and ask questions later. I was able to create a transaction where I will make 3% no matter what happens this week, and can reassess later.

Nasdaq is down 3% today, S&P over 2%, Dow just under 2%. Curious to see how far we go down before we begin to stabilize.
