Army plans for a potential parade on Trump's, and the Army's, birthday call for 6,600 soldiers, AP learns

WASHINGTON (AP) — Detailed Army plans for a potential military parade on President Donald Trump's birthday in June call for more than 6,600 soldiers, at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, seven bands and possibly a couple thousand civilians, The Associated Press has learned.

The planning documents, obtained by the AP, are dated April 29 and 30 and have not been publicly released. They represent the Army's most recent blueprint for its long-planned 250th birthday festival on the National Mall and the newly added element — a large military parade that Trump has long wanted but is still being discussed.

While the slides do not include any price estimates, it would likely cost tens of millions of dollars to put on a parade of that size. Costs would include the movement of military vehicles, equipment, aircraft and troops from across the country to Washington and the need to feed and house thousands of service members.

Oh Sir…….may I march? 🤮

The left also loves to gather and demonstrate on May 1st just like all loyal commies around the world. Oh, but America's left aren't commies.😂🤣
I’m pretty sure you lost the right to call anyone communists when your leader said that children had too many possessions and that we should all sacrifice for the five-year plan to restructure the economy.

Two things.

1. Why not just lead with this response instead of the your shot at Gay Pride parades? A lot more people may take you seriously than the joke you've become. Your bed though.

2. Thoughtful and measured is correct. Those should also be for the celebration of the Military (if that's your thing) and not f'ing Trump. Trump will make it about him though. Are you good with that? Should we even mention him in the same breath as the US Military because they share a birthday?
Northern isn’t a serious poster. He’s become a caricature at this point.

I wonder if this will become an annual event? June 14 is a Saturday. I wonder if they will bus in MAGAts to boost the crowd size for Field Marshall Von Bonespurs as he reviews the troops? I can already picture the GQP members looking like the Politburo of the 1970s on the review stand.

I don't ever want to get used to the sight of tanks on our streets.

I have no issues with a celebration to commemorate the 250th anniversary but it needs to be thoughtful and measured.
If there's one thing we know about Donald Trump, it's that he's thoughtful and measured.

And held on a military base. Trump can go to the military base to honor the troops. Cheaper than bringing them to him
He can't be a big shot that way. If Trump really wanted to honor the troops he might have shown up at the transfer ceremony of the four soldiers killed in Lithuania, but, they were losers in his mind. He likes troops that march past him and salute him.
