Article from an employee

And why should they get get jobs in the private sector if they love their lives? Sometimes it’s not about money.

Your comment is highly offensive.

You obviously know nothing about spooks.

I do know a thing or two about engaging crazy people who are not making any sense. So on that note, have a great night.

You can really see the people who don’t give a damn about others in these threads. 99.9% it’s Republicans. People are losing their jobs and they couldn’t care less. When jobs reports come out they won’t care about that either.
Don’t see you griping about the job losses that would come from government run healthcare

It’s about 25%
That’s a significant percentage of total job growth.
Yeah, I can even post a link lol
The claim was the "vast majority" of jobs created were government jobs. 25 percent is not the vast majority. It's not even a majority. Additionally your link will show that that 25% includes state and local government jobs.

Going from vast majority to significant percentage is moving the goalposts. The original claim was in fact wildly inaccurate as demonstrated by your data.

On a side note I think it is worth pointing out that while the federal workforce has grown steadily that as a share of the working population federal employees have held steady for decades. I think a lot of people imagine that the addition of loads of federal workers has caused the deficit but this doesn't appear to be the case.

When Biden cut the pipeline jobs, what was it they said? 🤔.

Oh ya, they can be trained and find another job.

John Kerry told the pipeline workers they "can be the people who go to work to make the solar panels."

Please explain. If you're talking about people in health insurance - companies who profit off of the sick - I guess I'm guilty. Pretty sure when the day comes Democrats will actually have a plan before they do it, instead of what Trump does.

Ya, so tugging on the heart strings of people are loosing jobs isn't going to work. The private sector has been going through this for many years with the Government shutting down their jobs.

Companies that profit and pay taxes on their income. The alternative was Obamacare that costs more, drives up the deficit, and nobody pays taxes on it.

Nobody has ever accused you of being smart.
Great point, but you could've left out the smart comment. Just saying.

Yes, that is it exactly. Sucking off the federal teat while us hardworking Americans subsidize their corruption is the problem. Let me guess you are a teacher. All of you socialist teachers are next. Making America great again.

Your stupidity stands out. Congratulations.

And yet you contribute nothing to the conversation. Losing an argument, call them names; a typical lefty ploy. So you support all of the graft and corruption at USAID. Or are you just pissed Musk discovered it?

Health care workers especially nurses will be laid off

You lack self awareness. Bigly.
Me? LMAO, you realize that the vast majority of people support what Musk and Trump are doing right now, including firing all all of these federal teat suckers. Of course, I wouldn't expect the delusional lefties on this site to acknowledge, or understand that fact.

We serve as human resources for the rest of the federal agencies, but unlike HR at a private company—where HR really works for your boss and not for you—our agency actually does work for the American people and the public servants who serve them.

Dude, what are you contributing? Painting every government worker with a stupid broad brush? The tired cliche of government workers not having a "real" job?

You simply sound uneducated and bitter.

Isn't that on par with some plans people get with some civilian jobs? I think state employees get those type rates as well.

It's a good deal no argument but it isn't free.
My employer paid all but $50/ pay if my healthcare/RX insurance when I retired 10 years ago…I currently pay a little $8k/ annually fir my MediCare/Supplenent and RX coverage as a retiree….(for just me!)…

Ha, very well educated, and yes, the fewer government workers the better it is for our country. You just sound uninformed and bitter that the gravy train is ending for your types.

Why? How do you know? Why won't nurses be needed? I thought there was already a nurse shortage. I am not being a smartass with these questions. Educate me. I KNOW you would know more about how nurses would be affected than I do.

Nurses are one of the biggest expenses in a healthcare organization. Reimbursements from a government healthcare system cannot sustain an organization. It’s the easiest to cut, back in the late 90’s insurances went to a system that affected reimbursements. The first thing that was cut was nurses, replaced with CNA’s and the nurse to patient ratio went up

Take it from a government employee right...?

You're right, when quarter after quarter most of the "job growth" comes from bloating the federal government, there will be NO PROBLEM with a couple quarters of "down" jobs numbers.

Small price to pay to give MSNBC some talking points...which smart people will see right through.

Can you provide data to support this claim of most of job growth coming coming from bloating of federal government?

One of many articles on the topic...

This does not support the claim that most job growth has been due to federal government bloat.
If you want to make the claim that government jobs including federal, state, and local have contributed significantly to job growth I would agree with that. But it is not most of the growth and it is not even close to being most of the growth due to federal government jobs.

Tom, you really only see things through your own lens yourself.

Your unquestioned support of Pharma (Pharma causes a lot of harm) is no different.

Exactly, it’s simply a perk of the job. Also, once gov’t employees retire they can carry health insurance into retirement, but at that point the retiree pays a larger portion of the premium.

Agreed, I don’t think health care workers/nurses who are in great need would be laid off.

They will just increase the nurse to patient ratio
