Ash has played very well in the limited time he has had on the floor. He looks calm and collected. I trust his play more than Evelyn lately.
This could be the worst post I've ever read.Ash has played very well in the limited time he has had on the floor. He looks calm and collected. I trust his play more than Evelyn lately.
Look, Ash is a good 3 point shooting WALK-ON. He's only ever in at the tail end of a blow out, and that's the only time he should be in. Evelyn has more upside in pretty much every facet of the game. So, you'd rather see evelyn than ash on the floor. Evelyn has been more of a liability than an asset lately.

I think there’s a role for Ash to be used for some smaller minutes with CJ out. He can shoot it but was also pretty composed at Indiana, tracking down some loose rebounds. I’m not anti anyone else saying this, just thinking there’s a role there he might fill.
you gotta be kidding , scarcasm maybe ?Ash has played very well in the limited time he has had on the floor. He looks calm and collected. I trust his play more than Evelyn lately.
Here is what I am getting at. Evelyn can break a press and run the floor better than Ash. I don't question that. I am just saying that with the absence of Frederick I would prefer to see Ash take Frederick's role over Evelyn. Evelyn did have a three today and hit two free throws he also had three turn overs and is prone to over extending himself with the ball and getting in trouble. We need another legitimate threat to score with Frederick out to take pressure off of Garza and Kriener underneath. Opposing teams are just mauling Weiskamp and doubling down on Garza and our productivity has dropped off. Ash is a legitimate outside thread that could open up more options on the floor. More so than Evelyn could. Remember Baer was a walk on too.
thats funny and true .With the physicality of today’s game coupled with the way it was being officiated, history could have been made with the first court death in college hoops had Austin played much.
BTW, speaking of walkons. is Vanderloo still on the team, being redshirted or what? And no, I'm not promoting him for playing time , just wondered.Again=NO......... Him being a walk on has nothing to do with my NO. He is not a B1G athlete.
This is a conversation I'd have. Other than height, Till has brought little in the way of usefulness on the court. If a walk-on is getting playing time, I'd like to see what Ash brings to the table.I like ash more than till. But i didn't like either of them...
And I suppose you want to see Till get more minutes as well?Ash has played very well in the limited time he has had on the floor. He looks calm and collected. I trust his play more than Evelyn lately.

So because Ash has made a couple of three's in games against the little sisters of the poor, or when Iowa has a 35 point lead you think that makes him a legitimate outside threat in a rugby match like today? Seriously? Maybe he does something, but saying "I trust him" over a fifth year senior who has played and had some success in over 100 D1 games is kinda ridiculous. I'll go with the guy in the suit on this one......Here is what I am getting at. Evelyn can break a press and run the floor better than Ash. I don't question that. Yeah, I get the point. It's a weak one, though.Other than height, Garza has nothing on Ash either. Get the point?
Yeah, I get the point. It's a weak one, though.
My point is that Till, though taller, hasn't been able to guard anyone. Just as Ash wouldn't be able to. Till can rebound some, but Ash can hit more 3's.
Who would Ash guard? Try to block out the refs so they can't see phantom fouls? Even the refs could fight through Ash's screens to blow the whistle on Garza for breathing. Hell, Carr probably would have stolen the ball from Ash and given it back to him just so he could steal it again. No, no, no. No Ash. The only court he should see is during practice.
Hawks lose today without Bakari, I’ll leave it at that.
He's redshirting, much like Ash did his freshman year.BTW, speaking of walkons. is Vanderloo still on the team, being redshirted or what? And no, I'm not promoting him for playing time , just wondered.
