I have it on good sources that the original regulations for govt response to poultry management in time of crisis were put in place during the first Trump administration. He has been working the back channels since before the election to activate those regulations and begin a cull. This has led to the prices of eggs increasing in time for the election propaganda and have continued since. This explains why the price is still rising.
This will make it easier to give Big Chicken billions in govt funds (just like he did for the farmers in 2018) to rebuild the industry beginning in January 2025. The plan is since some birds will start laying eggs in 4 months, the population will increase and production car start in the April - June range to increase, which will therefore bring the prices back down just like he promised. Another example of 1) Sleepy Joe and team screwing things up more than expected 2) Trump being the regular man's hero with his leadership approach 3) Staying true to fixing MAGA's main issue during the 2024 presidential election cycle, the price of eggs.

I don’t know if what you’re being told is accurate or not. The biggest problem with the supply of eggs has more to do with the way they are produced.

As long as the big producers keep concentrating millions of birds in the same locations the consumer can expect spikes in the price to continue. Every time the next wave of bird flu hits millions of birds need to be destroyed.

As I said elsewhere, I have an egg a day. Even at $5/dozen that's barely $0.42 per egg. They're the least of my worries even recognizing they'll cause a rise in prices for other items that use eggs.
