If the vikings can keep the 1 seed home field advantage the entire playoffs that would be scary af. If dilfer can win a SB case can too. Defense just needs to stay healthy and focused

Crazy how Sam Bradford goes down and the backup (Keenum) has led them to the #1 seed; I can see why Packer fans are wondering why they don't have a capable backup, too

Saw you can get tickets to the bills vs colts game for 4 bucks... The NFL is doing great! Personally eating yellow snow would be a more eventful day

Lol, look at all these losers bashing the NFL. How could you not like football played at the highest level?

Looking forward to many of the games but the Vikes and Panthers is the most important. One more win for my Vikes and they clinch the North and are solely playing for home field throughout. Don't want to get my hopes up and have them subsequently dashed like usual, but these are exciting times.

Second best matchup is Eagles and Rams. Hoping LA can pull out the W to help the Vikings.

Had no idea the NFL isn't well liked by some on here, it honestly baffles me. I can see the hate for the NBA, since that isn't even really basketball anymore, but the NFL is pretty much played the same as college ball, just with the best players.

Weird. Go Vikes.

So...people that don't like what you like are losers? Speaks volumes about you.

Personally, I am half and half about the NFL, but here are some very valid reasons for folks not being big fans: A big chunk of players play for the name on the back of the uni instead of the name on the front. The NFL is 100% about money. There is little to no pride. There are tons of criminals and they get chance after chance, both from teams and from fans, who would in other circumstances rightly vilify the players if they weren't players. There is no tradition, none. Fans in the stands are frequently ill-behaved Meatheads. The games are often boring snooze fests. There is really no such thing as the little guy (team) that the entire nation can get behind. The proliferation of the Jersey wearing loser fan. Unless a fan forks over money for a TV package, they have to watch the same boring ass local teams over and over and over (the boring NFC North in my neck of the woods, blech!). There is little drama, you know who is going to win for the most part. And so forth.

My definition of a loser is someone who would pay for a PSL (personal seat license) that grants the person the right to buy a ticket. F the owners and RG.

Lets disect your reasons for not liking the NFL:

A big chunk of players play for the name on the back of the uni instead of the name on the front. - Same for P5 college football, probably less, but a good number

The NFL is 100% about money. - As is college football. No idea where you've been the last 30 years.

There is little to no pride - Disagree, please expand on this argument.

There are tons of criminals and they get chance after chance, both from teams and from fans, who would in other circumstances rightly vilify the players if they weren't players.
- LOL, let me introduce you to a good number of college football players.

There is no tradition, none. - There is some, but agree there is less than CFB.

Fans in the stands are frequently ill-behaved Meatheads. - When was the last time you were at a college game? Honestly? I've been surrounded by plenty of ill behaved meatheads, at Kinnick, Madison, or wherever.

The games are often boring snooze fests. - Please expand on this. Also compare to the typical 17-10 Iowa game.

I honestly can't even bring myself to go over the rest of your bad excesses for not liking it. It doesn't bother me in the slightest if you or someone else doesn't like it, I might not get it, but I don't really care. But your reasons listed are nothing short of laughable.

Most if not all of your complaints can be argued at the collegiate level as well. So what's your real reason

Go Jaguars!

I also enjoy the people that root for the demise of the NFL. If the NFL dies, college football the way we know it will die too

Only something like 2% of college football players make it a day in the NFL so your argument us wrong.

How many current players on the Iowa team do you think had dreams of playing in the NFL as kids? You honestly think if there was no professional league, college football will still be just as big?

Watch out, can't dislike the NFL because that's just ridiculous! I mean who doesn't love all the soap opera drama that comes with it, the commissioner playing king dingaling, the constant political drag that comes with it.. and to me the loss of personal connection is the biggest reason it just isn't entertaining.

What is the constant political drag in the NFL? Players kneeling? They do that for like one minute and then it's onto the game. It's so weird to me how upset people get with trivial stuff.

Wow. Didn't realize so many college football fanatics hate on the NFL when EVERY Hawkeye player that steps onto the field aspires to play in Sunday. Check yourselves.

Granted I have never watched the NFL, but the "petty" little one minute if disrespect is another reason too. I just feel like the NFL isn't the greatest thing since sliced bread, enjoy the college identity of football, players being from Iowa and the unknown of it. But if I want to be engaged in the NFL, the political drag is listening to ESPN.. "try watching JC6 lol

Soap opera drama? You mean the like College Football Playoff? Or the Tenn. coaching search? Or... recruiting?

Commissioner playing King Darling? You mean the over inflated egos of many coaches, ADs, Conference Commisoners, CFP Committee members, and the NCAA itself?

Constant political drag? You mean like New Mexico knelling before the Air Force game? Or the college kid that was kicked off his team for knelling?

I don't care if you like the NFL or not, but at least attempt to be consistent/logical with your reasoning. Between your post and chapchad's I have a hard time believing any of you guys really know why you don't like the NFL.

So far, this is the only thing resembling a decent argument for not liking the NFL. Good job outta you, gold star.

What the hell else is there to watch on Sundays? Professional bowling or rodeo? NFL rocks. Best on the business and although ratings ate down slightly the league is at the top as far as,professional sports viewership. Go Vikings!

After last year's 5-0 start for the Vikings, I am not getting my hopes up too high, either!

I am hoping the Eagles lose their last 4 games too. =)

The NFL does mean "Not For Long." People assumed the Falcons would be back in the Super Bowl this year; heck they might not even make the playoffs.

Idk where the emphasis of an argument even came from, thank you for acknowledging my personal feelings on a subject though.. since everything now seems to revolve around your opinion I guess I'll indulge in your macho fantasy.

More like the drama of why can't i twerk in the endzone? The constant suspensions "that are forced headlines.. does not matter what team you root for.."

The commissioner has absolutely no control in controlling said headlines above, so king dingaling not darling really shoves his meat into every situation.. Tom Brady situation dear god was that annoying..

I personally don't talk about the kneeling situation, served a couple to many years to have people tell me how to feel about this.. so sure a D3 player that got kicked off his team that was headlines is the same thing.. "silver Star for you"

Reading your post just reminds me off that old lady that just bought a stair lift.. shit just drives me up the wall. There are a billion reasons to like the NFL and dislike the NFL some just chose to dislike

Some folks let their personal politics run their lives. It's sad really.
