I'd say the media and fan outrage over the events that transpired between the University of Michigan vs. The Ohio State University in Columbus last Saturday has been mild at best.

Can you imagine if this happened between Alabama and Georgia or Miami vs Florida State? I think it would get a lot more media attention and people on this board would be throwing around words like thug, etc. much more.

What’s amazing is how these things are copy catted so quickly. It’s all social media. High school kids apparently live on “Barstool” social media and down here this season’s annual idiocy amongst all classifications in HS has been the stealing of towels off the players of the opposing teams. Kids collecting them as trophies.

So goddamned stupid and annoying as hell.

2. Getting upset over someone planting a flag is also stupid. Don’t lose at home as 20-point favorites. They came to your house and owned you, you had 3 hours to do something about it.

The league also responded quickly punishing both teams. I think that squashed a lot of commentary.
