Bama waxing USC with a true fresh QB

Alabama's defense is so fast and so physical. On a whole different level. I hate it but it's true.

Yeah they were a blast to watch last night.. That's crazy good football! However they will have their games this year with that schedule.. I'm just interested to see which 1-2 are close

Real simple ! If you have a pro style, drop back QB, Alabama's defense will DESTROY you. Their DL is just too physical/powerful. If you look at the teams that have beaten or given Alabama fits throughout the Saban years, it's been the teams that run some type option style offense with a very mobile QB along with team speed. Perfect example: as soon as MSU was announced as Alabama's opponent in the 1st round of the playoffs, I knew it was over. That DL just pushed straight forward and destroyed MSU/OL and game plan. They NEVER stood a chance. Sometimes it's not so much about personnel than about schemes and style of play

This is true to an extent, but great pro style teams can more than hold their own against Bama. LSU has given Bama a run for their money on a handful of occasions over the last 10 years. That MSU team had a banged up OL, banged up QB, one really good receiving threat, and a couple decent running backs. That wasn't that great of an offense.

SEC looks down this year. I expect Bama to roll through that conference again

And I think you've hit on the other thing that makes teams lethal that recruit very well (top 5 every year) like Alabama, OSU, FSU (and a couple more): DEPTH. Especially depth that deals with injuries. They, and their coaches, have the mentality of "the next man up." You never hear the coaches of those programs whine about injuries being a major issue because they feel that if it is, they haven't done their job in recruiting and player development (something KF excels at)
