So, now I got banned from the Husker board for "rules violations" whatever the f&*% that means. Basically, someone put up a sarcastic post and questioned whether Iowa's 1958 NC was legit. So, I questioned whether their 1994 and 1997 NC's were actually legit, especially 1997 since they split with Michigan (1994, Penn State was actually a better team). I stated that until the playoff started, there weren't actual "true" national champions very often since it was rarely settled on the field ........What a tool........

Is it fair to say the only time we'll see your posts on this board is when you get banned somewhere else?

They are thin skinned toolbags. They can dish out plenty of trash talk but as soon as someone questions their program they freak out. I got the ban hammer this week as well.

My wife (who is a Husker fan) was laughing at me........As much as I have loved college football over the years, I have always hated the fact that the NC is just an opinion by either people or computers and not actually played on the field. While this current playoff system is not perfect, at least we are a little closer to teams settling it on the field like it should have always been.......that was the point I was trying to make. I may have taken a couple of detours to get there, but, that was my point.

They're a pathetic group on that board (at least the mods). I'd sure hope that Nebraska fans aren't really that impotent as human beings, but it wouldn't surprise me. They remind me a lot of Penn State fans. Maybe a little more tolerable than Penn State fans.

Penn State fans were the worst........when I lived in PA, I actually softened on NU fans a bit because I wasn't around them and Penn State fans were so bad........but, then I moved back here and was quickly reminded how insufferable NU fans are (not all, but, quite a few). The great thing about Penn State fans? For whatever reason, Iowa had a knack for beating Penn State :)

Nebby fans also say we did not win the 2002 B1G title (OSU was better; they won the Natl championship!); in 2004, we didn't win the B1G title because Michigan was better

Rules over there:

Have hawk in your user name-automatically banned
Mention Iowa in anything but a negative tone-automatically banned
Preach the greatness of TO and everything Husker-made a mod

I got banned for telling them that we won the Grantland Rice Trophy in 1958 for winning the National Championship, which is the same trophy they had in the picture they posted of their National Championship trophies. I said that either both teams' championships are legit or they're all phony. Of course, it was an argument with a mod who was about as immature of a poster as you'll ever see.

The sad thing is that I only went over there because I knew that they do SAB threads every week and I wanted to see the Iowa one. Let's just say that I hope their FB team has as sad of an effort today.

That actually sucks, and I dont agree with it. Doesn't sound like anyone in this thread did any more than what I've seen here by Husker fans. I actually am a big Iowa wrestling fan, and am indifferent toward the other sports, unless they are playing the Huskers, and I don't see the reasoning behind all the hate. I've enjoyed following all the Nebraska kids who play here, and am still pissed NU never offered Bazata, since I watched him growing up,and in high school, and know he would have helped us. Same with Drew Ott, and others.I hope the new staff in Lincoln does a better job of locking down the border going forward.

Rules violations in skirtville means you had the audacity to use facts and multi-syllable words.

That simply won't be tolerated.

Husker fans are born to be better than Iowa fans. Can you blame us for not wanting to associate with lower human beings like yourselves?

The biggest problem with Nebraska fans is that they think there team is still college football royalty because of what they did 20 plus years ago. They remind me of Penn State fans, arrogant and condescending. If your not stroking there ego, they don't want to hear from you. Let them sensor there board and live alone on there own island, "the island of misfit toys". :)

I don't always agree with why our mods ban people for discussing and and a different view of opinion.

As far as 1994 and 1997 Nebraska went unbeaten both years and had the tougher opponent in our bowl game compared to Penn St and Michigan which at that time decided that playing in the Rose Bowl was more important then playing for the National title.

Iowa in 1958 wasn't unbeaten and had a tie they beat a Pac 8 team that That finished 7-4. LSU did go unbeaten and won the AP and UPI polls.

And I'll leave this here as well:
In 2013-14, a trio of Nebraska football players claimed CoSIDA Academic All-America honors to lead a group of seven academic All-Americans across all sports for the season. Senior offensive lineman Spencer Long captured first-team accolades, while his twin brother, tight end Jake Long, and fullback C.J. Zimmerer both claimed spots on the second team. It marked the third consecutive season that multiple Husker football players have captured spots on the Academic All-America teams. NU added another first-team selection with women's gymnast Emily Wong, who earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors for the second straight season. Gary Pepin's track and field team earned three CoSIDA Academic All-Americans to wrap up the 2013-14 year, including first-team selections Levi Gibson and Anne Martin, as well as second-team honoree Cody Rush.

Nebraska became the first school across all sports and all divisions to reach the 300 milestone in 2012-13. The Huskers have produced 74 more CoSIDA Academic All-Americans than second-place Notre Dame (241) all time, across all sports and all divisions. Other than Nebraska, Notre Dame and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), no other institutions have reached the 200 mark in the number of CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.

The Nebraska football team leads the nation (all teams, all sports, all divisions) with 107 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, while the Nebraska volleyball team leads all women's teams all-time across all sports with 37. The Nebraska softball team is second among all women's programs with 29.

Nebraska also leads the nation with 126 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans since 2000, extending its nation-leading streak to 44 consecutive years with at least one CoSIDA Academic All-American. Nebraska also ranks among the top 10 nationally in CoSIDA Academic All-Americans in women's track and field/cross country academic (15), men's track and field/cross country (21), baseball (20) and women's basketball (8).

That refutes they are thugs and bigots; how? All those awards mean is that someone 5'3" can be the tallest kid at school if all his classmates are midgets.
