I don't always agree with why our mods ban people for discussing and and a different view of opinion.

As far as 1994 and 1997 Nebraska went unbeaten both years and had the tougher opponent in our bowl game compared to Penn St and Michigan which at that time decided that playing in the Rose Bowl was more important then playing for the National title.

Iowa in 1958 wasn't unbeaten and had a tie they beat a Pac 8 team that That finished 7-4. LSU did go unbeaten and won the AP and UPI polls.

My point in the thread was that rarely has there been a true NC because rarely was anything actually settled on the field.......I wasn't there in 1958 to see the season......so, it's hard for me to judge who "deserved" the title......what I do know is that the NCAA recognizes Iowa as a 1958 co-NC.....I was just responding with the same tone that the thread was written in.......no cussing, not being vulgar, no personal attacks. However, whoever banned me is an idiot (there's a personal attack)
