Banning the sale of guns does not go against the second amendment

I am pro 2A but people should not be able to buy guns (normally this happens at gun shows) without any paper trail.
I don't disagree with this at all, but to be clear the issue isn't necessarily gun shows (the "gun show loophole" gets thrown around a lot). The problem you're talking about is private party sales, which can happen anywhere (yes, gun shows are a popular place to do this). I have a shotgun in my safe I bought at a garage sale.

Any dealer at a gun show is required to follow the same process as they would if you walked into their shop. I'm sure you know all of this, but many seem to use gun shows as the actual issue.

I know the history of the Second Amendment. The right is invested in the people for a specific purpose. Period. It says so right there in the text. You can only deny that by ignoring that entire first clause. There is not one word in the amendment about personal defense. You can belong to and train with the National Guard. Your right to keep and bear arms is tied to your membership and attendance. Don't want to join, you can't own any semi-automatic weapons of any kind.
Do you have any idea what a semi-automatic weapon is? Automatic weapons are all ready illegal. Semi-automatic simply means you don't have to manually load another round in the chamber. Nearly every gun in America is a semi-automatic.

All of this is true and I agree.
