81-56 and it wasn't as close as the score would indicate. That Utah win, while never exactly a shining trophy, nevertheless looks worse now.

Maybe. But you do realize Ohio State has lost by 40 points twice this season, and after those horrible losses, they beat Kentucky.
One game doesn't prove much of anything in college basketball.
Utah isn't a very good team. Neither was Washington State. It's all relative. The rest of the non-con wins were vs God awful teams.

I thought Utah looked pretty good but they are 8-4 against a weak schedule. Ouch.
It's worth about as much as missing out on Beau Pribula after getting him to visit. I was told that was a huge win, so I'm sure that both will pay dividends down the road.

I agree. Teams can easily rebound from one or two bad losses.
Here are some more examples:
- Illinois gave up 100 points to Alabama and is 9 in the NET.
- Pittsburgh lost by 33(!) to Mississippi St. and is 11 in the NET
- Arizona is 7-5, giving up 103 points to Wisconsin, and they are 24th in the NET.
- Back in 2019, Iowa lost by 15 points at home to a despicable DePaul team, and they finished 34th in the NET.
Utah played pretty well against Iowa and hit some huge shots in that game. Iowa plays poor defense and does not rebound well, which contributes greatly to its opponents success.
Yes, I thought Brendan Sullivan looked good Monday and will be happy with him being our QB. Beau probably felt he couldn’t compete with him.
