Not sure how big this is for this game, but Harold had a big year in 2016 with 16.5 sacks and 7 forced fumbles. We should stack up fairly well against their defense.

However; "Boston College has had time to get used to not having Landry in the lineup, but his absence should still hurt the Eagles again. BC won four of its last five games, but those came against a cratering Florida State, Virginia, UConn and Syracuse, none of which finished above .500".

I guess one could look at it either way. I'm sure they have other capable defenders. We recruited there rb a few years ago.

Surprised to see BC ranked 100th in nation against the run with a strong pass defense. I hope we give Wadley 25+ carries in his last game. Looking at offensive stats BC QBs seem to be like Minny QB athletic but lacking in pass accuracy. Should be a lot of running in this game.

This is an interesting yet very promising development. This could go a long ways towards helping ease the pain of our in experience at offensive tackle and the changes we've had to make

I assume they moved him around some. Maybe it'll make our tackle situation less glaring. Should indeed set up for a big day on the ground then some passes open up despite their good pass d. Got to break the losing streak in bowls for eff's sake!

BC loses Landry- best defender.
Iowa loses Aleric Jackson- starting LT.
Doesn’t that make it even?

Idk.. We might be ahead because Landry still had 5 sacks this year despite playing "very little all year." I have a feeling he can make his way past most tackles to the qb.

Well most of us thought we had an advantage when leading receiver went down for wisky they got gashed by the backup.I'm not setting any expectations as far as advantage goes with B.C. defender being out

The dude isn't playing anyway.
I'm talking about an advantage on the OL despite missing Alaric Jackson because Landry is out. He's very effective when healthy. Sacks have gone down this season but you never know, Landry could throw off 3 or 4 drives. We all know how precious our possessions can be when the O is off its game. It's an advantage but of course the whole team has to win the game.

I'm not arguing against you I'm just saying I had a lot of expectations going into the Wisconsin game because they had so many guys out and look how that worked out for the Iowa football team I'm just not going to set any expectations but yes there should be a clear advantage in tomorrow's game. Even with Jackson out I agree with you they should have the advantage in the trenches tomorrow.Go hawks

One thing Wisconsin had this year was a deep defense. The guys that got injured, they had quality replacements for them. Seemed like they had linebackers on an assembly line. Their best LB going in didn't play a single down this year and I believe lost two more at times during the season - yet they was pretty much zero dropoff.

In 2017, in this bowl - just win baby. A month from now no one will be able to tell you who Iowa played, but if they lose, everyone will know that they have lost 6 in a row.

Don't kid yourself. If we're up against a media darling next year, the talk will be about losing 5 of the last six.
