Well, now that CJ has a hip pointer, KF says CJ may not run any more QB sneaks. Ever heard the one about closing the barn door after the horses have escaped? KF seems pretty proficient at that kinda thing.
CJ was his spry old self against Minny until that late QB sneak that never should have been necessary.
But here's the thing: If you have a QB who's been dinged most of the season and has suddenly, almost miraculously recovered, why the hell keep running him into the teeth of an 11-man front on a sneak?
Why didn't KF and Co. have, say, D. Mitchell run the sneak? Practice it for five minutes a day for a couple days and, boom, you've got an RB running the ball instead of the one guy you cannot afford to lose or to get reinjured so his mobility is, again, compromised.
Just a crazy thought. Not as obvious, perhaps, as expecting an RB to fall down short of the goal line on a long TD run, but still....
