anyone going?
how is that concert venue? its a casino, right?
how is that casino/hotel?
anyone have a couple extra tickets they're trying to unload?
anyone interested in trading some iowa football tix for beck tix?

So I looked up the tour after seeing this.

Quite odd that he is playing at Stir Cove...smallish venue on the backside of Harrahs. When you look at the small tour he is doing, almost all of the dates are at a giant arena/stadium.

Side note, it says it is sold out on ticketmaster.

I stayed in council bluffs for 2 months this year while working in carter lake. Ordering pizza delivery while in carter lake is an impossibility as neither dominoes would cross the state line. Unrelated-to-Beck fact.

Should of just went to Sgt Peffers, great pizza.

This board has become so political that I assumed this was about Glenn Beck.

Me too. Thought he was introducing a new conspiracy theory. :(

I have been there to see John Butler Trio and G Love. It's a cool venue.

Yes it is a very cool venue. I have seen Black Crowes, 311, and The Shins there. Very surprised Beck is playing there considering the venues he is playing the remainder of the tour. Everything else is a stadium.

I haven't looked at Beck's touring schedule, but the disparity may be because on some of those dates, he's opening for U2's 30th Anniversary tour for Joshua Tree. We're seeing them both when they come through St. Louis in a couple weeks. I may actually be more excited for Beck than U2, if I'm being totally honest.

As far as stir cove goes? It's a great venue for the type of venue that it is.

The hotel is nice. The rooms facing Omaha are nicer than those facing CB.

The casino is small and the slowest one in CB. Sure it has it's moments, but they do offer free shuttle to/fro Horseshoe which runs late.

I actually prefer Ameristar over Harrahs and Horse Shoe.
