And, once again, that is completely immaterial. Carson had drive...but he was also the beneficiary of "govt handouts". Would he have succeeded without them? What would have happened if they hadn't received food stamps or housing assistance? What if he hadn't gotten the free glasses? He can't say and neither can you. But he's more than willing to deny those benefits to others. Now tell me why ANYONE who is disadvantaged would even consider this sanctimonious a-hole? And why is is puzzling why he doesn't have great support in the black community?
That color coordination is pretty impressive. You know how many different oranges there are!
They don't see the benefit in voting for him. Obviously they and you think Hillary or Bernie will satisfy them better.

Which is EXACTLY the point I've been trying to make all along. Obama being black was a bonus. It undoubtedly brought lots of minority voters to the polls in 2008 who would otherwise not have voted. But they didn't vote for him because he was black. He got their votes because they "obviously" thought he would "satisfy them better". They voted for him based on their understanding of his positions - however limited that understanding might have been. Neither Cain nor Carson would get that presumption. Black voters would NEVER flock to the polls to vote for either of them.
Nah, I think the reason they showed up was due to being a black D. I mean look how far they've come in the last 7 years.
Blacks have been voting D, I've never denied this but I did shay they came out in droves for a black D. I have a couple questions on this...
1. Are the D's necessarily have blacks best interests at heart? I feel this is debatable.
2. If a black R won the primaries and ran against a white non charismatic D (say Hillary) would more blacks vote R than usual. I do think they would.
You are incredibly naive. Obama didn't set record number of blacks voting for him because they loved his positions on foreign policy or taxes. It was because he was black and had a D behind his name. Blacks vote for D's, and there are a lot of blacks who wouldn't vote for a Republican if Satan was the Dem candidate. My grandma was the same way. She never voted for a Republican, and wouldn't even if the Dems would have nominated a criminal, like Hillary. However, the reason Obama set records, for black votes, was because he was black.
It's okay. You want to call him an Uncle Tom...........just go for it.
