We were after three Bigs last year and struck out, maybe this year will be better. Getting a visit is the first step. We definitely need inside help at center and PF. I think it is pretty obvious that Kris is gone.
What I will say, is far as I know Iowa only got 1 campus visitor from a portal prospect last year. Part of that is having no NIL + a returning Filip Rebraca did not make Iowa attractive from the outside looking in.
Getting 3 visitors all within a couple of weeks after the portal opens is telling me that Iowa is an attractive landing spot--they obviously are not going to land all 3, but that's recruiting. As Bill Self says "If I'm not striking out on recruits more often than I am landing them, that tell's me I'm not recruiting the right type of guys."
I think that in addition to Rebraca's skill in the post....his physicality is something that he brought to this team that we need on next years roster....hopefully Braun and another big can provide that element of the game.

From what I understand, he plans to walk on. I think he's waiting to announce until we know the scholarship situation--if Iowa doesn't get 2 of their top big men options, I'm sure Brauns will be in line for a scholarship.
Probably means he will no longer be visiting--his only visits so far were UMASS and Penn State pre-Shrewsberry leaving.
Maybe he asked out CC and got turned down? He had a couple retweets about her.

Well, other than UMASS and the previous Penn State (pre-coaching change) visit. Still, weird to schedule a bunch of new visits, then not take them.
1. Take your visits just to see the world a bit and see what opportunities you have available.
2. Maximize your NIL possibilities.
Not optimistic Mccaffery will land anyone that provides help next year other than a reserve roll. JMO

No chance that level of demand exists for that level of player.
Just repeating what I've heard. The NIL programs are built up now, last year they were in the early throws of it.

If that level of demand existed the supply would be increasing exponentially every week.
I think you are wrong. Unlike last year, Iowa is contacting a lot of really nice possible transfers, and we seem to have both NIL and playing time available.
I hope I am wrong too, but time will tell. I will be more optimistic when he actually reels in a significant player.

NIL money means infinitely more to transfer success than anything Fran can do.
He landed Rebraca 2 years ago with no money to offer.
And people bitched about Fran landing him, although he became one of the better transfers in the B1G.
I am waiting for the day when one of these players that gets thousands of $$$ and aint worth 2cents! Then maybe people wont be so eager to throw that kind of money at unproven players! This will calm down eventually because people that donate will get tired of throwing there money away!
