I wonder how long it's going to take to rebuild the men's BB fanbase. Getting the students closer to the floor is probably the next step that's needed.
Good on Jan, to make it a point to be there to put yesterday behind her, and be there to welcome the newest member to the Hawkeye coaching fraternity.....
There was a bunch of misinformation out there. Apparently Iowa being DD's dream job was a media creation, and not true. While he and Beth MAY have conversed on the phone, he never even interviewed for the job at Iowa. Yet we had some people on here roasting Beth for "dropping the ball" on landing DD. Just shows that people don't know what they think they know sometimes.....

Great to see Kirk at the press conference yesterday. I don't think he and Fran were that close, might be wrong.
I don't think there was a big feud or anything and it wasn't as bad as it was with Alford but they weren't friendly. Kirk liked Lick a lot
Great to see some of the former players who Ben would know also, Kenyon, and Bobbie. Also pretty damn standup for Payton to show and welcome coach. Certainly not something he had to do, and I think he loved Fran. Hopefully that will help bring Pryce back into the fold....
Well, Kirk is a Yinzer and Fran is from the land of Jawn. So that right there precludes a close acquaintanceship.
I think that was mostly public. Kirk went to bat for Lick hard in the media during that last year when it became clear what was going to happen.

Ben would have been 11 years old in March of 1993.
