That was intentional. That was his way of telling us that he wants us to know that he knows Iowa basketball. No crib notes, no cliff notes, no intern briefing him on the history of Iowa basketball necessary.
Not sure if you listened to his interview with dolphin and Hanson, but he talked about that. He said he was frustrated because he wasn’t growing, and he looked at the size of Glasper on the roster and said that’s the guy I can be.
Yes, yes, and yes. This very well might be the hire we all compare everybody else to over coming years. Seems like it's a win-win all around.

My son graduated the same year as McCollum. He was devastated when Chris Street died. A lot of young people shed a lot of tears because of that tragedy.

I don't think we're all of a sudden going to be shopping at the top of the market. That's why you hire a guy like Mccollum and need to have a clear understanding of what kind of program we need to be in order to find success.

The hope is, at the very least, he can land one or two big fish that have the same drive, character, and focus to add to a roster of his best handpicked guy.
Then, the skies the limit.
Would be similar to a Chauncey Leslie pull for the generation after.
What I remember about Leslie was that game where he made something like 5 threes at the very end of the game and the Hawks almost won.

I seem to remember he even pulled out a win for the Hawks a time or two when it counted fairly large.
