Saw he committed to BC. Really thought we had a shot at this kid. Spoke highly of his visit. This young man really plays down hill.

This is is a surprise to me also. Both that he chose BC over the Hawks but also that he did it so soon. The guy hits like a truck but not sure if he had enough speed to chase down speedy receivers. I'm not sour milking him here since he committed elsewhere, just my thoughts is all. Was hoping to get him to maybe get a foot in the door at his HS which seems to produce some pretty good talent. Bummer
I think he liked Iowa, but had visions of going out East to a good academic school like BC or one of the Ivy schools. Probably a better fit for him out East.
Yea you're right about the timeline, but pretty sure Steward's decision had nothing to do with Colbert's commitment. I'm just guessing we were in an uphill battle from the get to on him for some reason.
