I've been hoping for this commitment. This is our type of kid to a T. He realized it, we realized it. I'm a fan and love his tape and his attitude. Not even on campus and says he committed because of the people. If that doesnt make hawk fans smile I dont know what would. Welcome my man, I shall cheer for you.

going to disagree all it takes is to keep these kids committed and staying in the program. players like Jewell, Greenway, King, Klug all proved to be more than competitive. what has hurt Iowa in the past have been injuries and defections.

and better recruiting would take care of the depth issue

true but Iowa has not been in the position to just plug and play, that is changing, just look at this year RT Wirfs fall into that category as he was a US Army AA and is now starting, .

they both grew up hawks, not exactly tough recruiting

wow! He racked up quite a few nice offers.. in michigan in the bay city area this is a small school probably around 500-550 students, plays in a small conference maybe class C. he looked like a man playing against boys.. highlights remind me of Zion Williamson playing against the Kids in his conference except in football. Probably got the 2 star due to level of competition in his conference if he played class A ball and had camp numbers like he has he’d most likely be higher rated. Will be fun to see him continue to grow as HAWK!

Alex another great Iowa FB?

FB is a position for Walkons and Linebacker recruits that wash out. You have to prioritize schollies and Iowa has been able to get a lot of good walkons at FB.
