Hayden actually drove Bert from Iowa City to Ames to apologize in person. For this one thing I will always and forever admire Bert.

Perfect fit for Illinois. After being the Chicago Bear coach, Lovie was not interested in the process of recruiting.
The Illinois high school coaches felt snubbed. Bret has a good personality and will get Illinois back.

Bert is such a great coach that he has the worst win % of any coach in the history of the Razorback program that coached 30+ games with them.
